The place has a cute vibe and is in an interesting part of town. The pizza is okay. I am not a big fan of corn meal in pizza crust. The drinks are decent.

This place is so great. Food is excellent. Don’t sleep on the Cubano tavern pie, but the regular pizza crust is amazing as well! Welcoming locals vibe where you can check out a game or bring your hot rod and show it off. I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to review, as I’ve been a regular since it opened.

This food is just like your mother made it for you when you were growing up, its that good. Just about every item on the menu is my favorite. It is difficult to just choose one to eat. Go there as soon as you can because you deserve to have the best food in San Jose.

A busy friendly place with an eclectic clientele. The thin crust pizzas (tavern style) are nicely cooked and offer a nice balance between the flavors of the dough and the toppings. My favorite so far is the Margherita (one of the best Margherita’s in SanJose). It is topped with fresh basil leaves and the sauce is flavorful with hints of oregano and parmesan. The pizzas are cut into small squares which makes sharing them very easy. The Cubano is surprisingly tasty and I did find the Chorizo very good but a little greasy. The draft beers were mostly IPAs and I would have like to see a few pilsner choices. Prices are very fair. We shared a table with strangers and were delighted to hear their stories of their lives navigating the California tech world.

I just tried Genuine Heros for the first time and ordered the Italian Special (cold sandwich category). Super tasty meats and cheese and fresh greens with flavorful dressing. Delicious. The staff was very friendly and efficient. I’ll definitely return for more!

Excellent food, excellent service, clean counters and intriguing decor, these friendly neighborhood sandwich slingers only serve delicious options, which happen to include some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. I highly recommend this place for both the food and the atmosphere. You won’t be disappointed.
