Came here for dinner Saturday night. Restaurant was clean and our waitress was very attentive even though we were sitting at the bar. We ordered the fried chicken, galbi and the pork. Fried chicken was delicious! Galbi and pork were really good too. Really enjoyed sitting at the bar and watching them cook our chicken. We ended up getting dessert as well – cooked cinnamon apples/pineapples with fried ice cream!! Overall I was happy with the food. Get the blooming tea!!

Be forewarned, this Korean restaurant is new and they don’t have their liquor license yet. But they don’t object to BYOB. The waitress seemed a bit inexperienced, but sweet. The chef had to come out (very nice also) to explain one of the dishes. The atmosphere was generally comfortable, but the necessary exhaust fans were very loud. Hard to have a conversation loud. They offer an option to cook your own food at your table via a VERY hot lava stone. Hence the name. The short ribs were tasty, but a bit chewy. I recommend the kimchi trio. It was very good. My wife had the catch of the day, striped bass. She enjoyed it, but it was undercooked. She finished the uncooked part on my lava stone. All in all, it’s was good, but they need to work out a few kinks. I’d go back.

I haven’t eaten here yet but will be trying it very soon! The owner is very nice and the restaurant looks awesome. It’s nice to have Korean BBQ in Lynbrook since, as someone else put, there’s a lot of Chinese, Italian, Greek around the area.

Honestly, the food here is amazing. I’ve been to countless korean BBQ restaurants and this place stands out. I’ve visited The Lava Grill about 4 times already and I can confidently say that the meat selection is always on point. Juicy, tender, perfectly seasoned, and grilled exactly to my liking (thanks to the lava stone!) The fried wings are also excellent. You have to try them! Super friendly service. Affordable prices. Great atmosphere. Delicious food. What more can you want?

Food here is absolutely delicious, must try! The Korean BBQ Wings are fabulous. Wait stuff is friendly. What a great idea to have hot stones served out to your table, never see this around town unless in the city for a unique concept like theirs.

Killer staff, excellent service, and even better food! Have you tried the Korean fried chicken yet?! It’s crispy, saucy, tangy — everything you want in a pile of wings. The steak cooked on lava rocks (which you grill yourself) is also pretty good.

The meal started with some strange popcorn and then when the main course was brought out, the stones weren’t hot enough to actually cook the meat. Luckily they swapped them out once we brought it up after several minutes of struggling to cook the meat. The service was decent but they said there was unlimited kimchi but once we finished the slight amount we bought they just took it away and never replaced it. Dessert was friend ice cream which was decent.

Delicious food! The Mandoo and Edmame were tasty, gotta try the infamous hot stones for dinner. The short ribs were awesome as well as the dessert medley! Reasonably priced and the staff were helpful and attentive. Will definitely be back here again!

So nice to have a break from the overabundance of Chinese and Italian food in the neighborhood. Went here for an early dinner. It was a great experience…flavorful food…terrific service…welcoming atmosphere. Do yourself a favor and give Lava Grill a try. You won’t be disappointed.

Started out terrible as if we were doing them a favor being there ! Apps took forever to get and they screwed that up , they gave me the soup that I did not order and it was cold ! And the short ribs were bland and chewy. When I confronted them about it the giggled and said “ I think you’re being a little picky”!!!!!!! Are you kidding me?!?!?!? Never again will I give them a dollar of my business, I recommend the same !
