So food was amazing. We had escargot, fries, filet and Coq a vin. All amazing. Waiter was polite took our orders quickly though didn’t check back after our meals were served which felt weird. Then a few bites in brings our check to the table. Mind you we only just started our entrees, and hadn’t even (obviously) been asked if we wanted dessert. It was super weird. When we finished I asked him if we could see the dessert menu because we actually wanted dessert. Got the cream brûlée. Which was great and got our updated check before dessert arrived. Just felt super weird. That was the only part we didn’t enjoy. Live jazz music playing super cute space.

Bouillabaisse is my wife’s favorite seafood dish. It should allow the subtle flavor of the saffron to shine through. The broth in this dish was very heavy in other flavors and did not provide the experience she was looking for. The fish and shell fish were very fresh and tasty. I had the duck confit and I was not disappointed. It was rich and tender; simply and carefully presented. We love unhurried service and our server picked up on that so we had a most relaxed and pleasant evening. A jazz trio was playing and their song selections were delightfully unexpected at times.

After the delay in our initial service, the server was attentive, and nice, the food delicious, and the decor style was really nice. afterwords we visited the market at left bank which is their two story gift shop that contains tons of unique modern and vintage items for sale. Between lunch and the gift shop you can spend an entire afternoon here .

My girlfriend and I visited this new-found gem for the first time to celebrate her birthday. We walked into a creatively decorated French bistro, past an enticing bar, all supplemented by live jazz music, and topped off with a steak tartar that is good we were only able to utter unintelligible sighs of eye-closed contentment for about 10 minutes.

The staff was attentive and accommodating. The menu had a good variety of options to choose from and the food was delicious. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. The wait time for our food was minimal, and everything came out perfect. The restaurant had a cozy and inviting atmosphere, with nice lighting and comfortable seating. It was not too noisy, which allowed for easy conversation. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience and I would definitely go back again.

Left Bank Bistro was a complete surprise. I am classically trained and French cuisine is one of my favorite, most respected cuisines. The quality, execution, and service are something I’d expect from cities like Chicago, New York, or LA. I did not expect to be blown away by a restaurant in St. Pete, FL.

Having dined here for brunch, lunch and dinner nearly five years I am still very pleased with the food and ambiance. Several authentic French style menu items to relish, and with a charming interior decor to enjoy with family, friends or others. The attached photos are of the delicious Crevette Meunière- grilled shrimp and classic lemon butter herb sauce! The second photo is of the savory and very satisfying Onion Tart- caramelized onion, gruyère, olive, lemon creme fraîche. There are many delightful menu items and a nice dessert selection with my favorite being a hard to find Pot de Creme- dark french chocolate custard and bing cherries! This cozy bistro is for relaxing and enjoying your meal with everything prepared from scratch- if you’re in a hurry to catch a film- dine elsewhere. While I’ve often visited in casual attire, the atmosphere here really inspires making a little effort to look chic!
