I gave this place 3 stars based on location. I was misled with “Rioja” in the name and expected them to actually have Rioja served here but no, they don’t. Inside the place had a good atmosphere, but outside was more comfortable for me. Disappointed the didn’t have Rioja or any good wines I ordered water. The staff and servers were kind and attentive. I recommend this place for beers and cocktails, great location and service.

The Library is one of my favorite downtown hangout spots! It’s a relaxed, chill environment with options of music from the jukebox and live bands or a dj during the weekend. The beer is always extra cold and they have delicious chili powder for the rim, makes my mouth water just thinking about it! The Library has a full bar and excellent food/dessert options, as well. MUST TRY THE JALAPEÑO POPPERS! If you’re from Brownsville make sure to stop by, and support your historic downtown bars and restaurants.

I love this quaint little bar, our bartender was very nice, very attentive, the drinks were perfect! Live music was awesome, local band covering another local famous band that no longer plays was there that night. The Waem Oranges they were doing cover songs from The Connectors. Never had any bad experiences at this bar. The location is perfect the interior is nice and cozy. Has a living room effect that makes it comfortable to be at and at the same time have a good time with friends.

Great place to sit and sip on your favorite beer or cocktail. If you are hungry they do have savory appetizers and a food menu to choose from. My favorite is the Mouthwatering cheese burger combo. The staff is always friendly and make you feel welcome.
