First, Im glad this place survived the pandemic. It’s like they built a cafeteria in someone’s kitchen. The food has potential, but was too greasy to enjoy. The bread was thin and toasted so long it was basically a croutons. The meat patty was dry and lacked flavor.

Excellent hole-in-the-wall with delicious southern-style comfort food with a spicy flair. Very big “home-cooked” feel to it all. I practically needed to be rolled out of the cafe after I was done eating.

Such a great experience. Saw them featured in Eater for LA’s best breakfast spots. Barbara was a delight, so helpful, and the food was absolutely fantastic. I got the 2-2-2 with blueberries added to the pancakes. Eggs were cooked perfectly and the flavor of the pancake was so good I ended up taking what I couldn’t eat home with me. My partner had the Low Rider breakfast sandwich, with no meat – Barbara added garlic spinach to it and he said it was one of the best breakfast sandwiches he’s ever had. Great hot sauce (nice and vinegary), really good coffee too. 10/10 will be back.

What a great find! Small family owned restaurant with outdoor seating in Altadena. Random find for us and it was SUCH A GOOD FIND! The Food was DELICIOUS and the coffee (which was our concern) did NOT DISAPPOINT… Delicious! The owner and staff were so friendly… we felt like at home. Highly recommend it.

I enjoy cafes but unfortunately my experience here wasn’t pleasant. The service was slow and it wasn’t busy. We waited almost half an hour for our food to arrive and it wasn’t what I was expecting. The portions weren’t worth what I paid for. I wouldn’t come back here and hope the owners take this as constructive criticism.

Th little red hen coffee shop was great! i like the name and the stuff there didn’t disappoint. Went here with some friends and they all loved it. 10/10 i would recommend this to a bunch of people.

The food wasn’t very good. My hasnbrowns tasted like fish and the silverware they gave me had crud all stuck in the crevices. It was pretty greasy and was hella weary even eating cuz I couldn’t imagine what was in the kitchen if they couldn’t even give halfway decent utensils
