The location is charming, the people are friendly, and the food is healthy and flavorful. My only complaint is that they don’t have hours that encompass dinnertime, as I’d like to have their burgers as a dining out option and I rarely eat out mid-day. When you enter, the place seems tiny and can get crowded if there are more than two people in line, but there is ample seating downstairs so don’t let this deter you. The beet burger is a bit on the dry side, but the flavors are perfect. I’m eager to return to try more menu items.

Redlands is a better place with a restaurant like this! The Beet Burger is one of the best plant based burgers I’ve had, hands down, anywhere! If the Living Root Cellar was in West Hollywood or San Diego we wouldn’t be able to find a seat! Thank you for bringing healthy and delicious food to the Inland Empire!

Oh my GOSH. Had the best burger and broccoli salad.. wow. Please never stop making that. So awesome to see such a great place to eat healthy. And watched a delivery of fresh produce as I ate. If you haven’t been here for a while come and see what they’ve done with the place! Not only is it good food and great service now you can go downstairs after you order and sit in a very cute newly decorated space! (No, I don’t know the owner and I’m not being paid to say this.) I love to find places that serve good healthy food with great service!

The Spicy raw tacos are amazingly delicious! The Beet burger is great too! Loved the whole wheat burger buns! My husband and I split both of them and it was perfect. We also got 2 add-on sides of Broccoli salad which were tasty too but we would have been satisfied without them. One would have been enough just for a little taste. (FYI it’s just $1.50 if you get a salad with a main dish (and it’s a tinier serving). If you want more you can get a regular side order which is $4.00 but the tiny one was plenty for me along with the other food.) The soups look good too and the sloppy Joe jackfruit burger. The drinks look great too! Staff was friendly and helpful. The only thing that would make this better would be more comfy seating and better ambiance for dine-in (it’s just a simple table with metal chairs in the downstairs “root cellar” ;), but I realize this takes time and money and they’re probably catering more to take-outs which is understandable! Great place overall!

The customer service was timid and quiet, not eager to help. We were excited to try it anyway and looked passed it. We ordered and sat for 48 minutes listening to the two people in the kitchen flirt and laugh and talk. I went to ask the front of the house if ,at least, we could have our drinks while we waited? She said yes, but never brought them. We canceled the order and the cashier tossed the change in my hand upset. The women before us asked for a refund too since she was waiting longer and there were also 2 gentlemen complaining their order was wrong. I won’t be returning to say the least.
