When i set eyes on the local hen i was instantly greeted by the warm and friendly staff specifically Rickii and Charlie. The ambience and the music is on point for family nights, date nights, or just hanging out with friends. The servers and staff did everything possible to ensure that i had everything i needed and were always available. After a nice conversation with the server he told me that they had only been open for two days! This was a total shock as for being open for two days they already know how to get things done. The food came out fast and tastes amazing. I would definitely recommend the fried chicken sandwich with bacon. I was even more pleased to see that there were vegetarian options as well! I will definitely be coming back.

If you’re looking for some casual comfort food but with a high end cuisine feel, look no further than the newly opened “The Local Hen Oviedo” which just had their grand opening at the Food Factory Foodie Collective in Oviedo. My favorite was by far the Chicken Sandwich expertly prepared and beautifully presented loaded with some rich flavors and paired nicely with my white wine selection. The dessert, PBJ looked amazing and tasted just the same. This restaurant is a must-visit for any food lover seeking a memorable and exquisite dining adventure. I can’t wait to return and savor more of their culinary delights.

I got such a great sandwich here so I had to post it. It’s a Messy Chicken Sandwich and there is this amazing pimento cheese sauce on it, and that got me obsessed with pimento now. The awesome server there told me that the fried chicken is fresh and never frozen, and it certainly tastes like it. Hats off to the chef!

Excellent food! Excellent ambiance! Best chicken and waffles! My son says the chicken fried steak is in his top 20 foods of all time, quite a statement from a little foodie. Large wine list for a micro restaurant. And they have calimocho (kalimotxo)! Try the candied bacon too!!

I visited The Local Hen this week. The food was excellent. The staff was super courteous. The service was top notch. The menu has plenty to choose from. This is a great restaurant, worth visiting. Last night my family and I had dinner at the Local Hen and it was truly a lovely experience. Not was only was the food fresh and delicious, but the customer service was outstanding and the ambiance was superb! I highly recommend this beautiful restaurant to everyone! We’ll definitely be back soon!

After 5 yrs it’s here! My wife and I had dinner here on opening night. The menu featured southern style cooking. We had the cheesy mashed, chicken skewers and steamed vegetables. All delicious. The restaurant is intimate but flows out to the patio. There was live music on opening night. Happy to now have The Local Hen as a dining choice at the Food Factory in Oviedo on the Park.
