This is a cute little restaurant! We were greeted right away when we entered the door and was seated right away! Our drinks and menus were brought to us immediately! The waitress came and got our order pretty fast! Our food came out really fast! It was very hot! My husband ordered the biscuits and gravy special which came with eggs and hash browns, I ordered a scramble special. It was two scrambled eggs and your choice of three items, I picked bacon, onions and green peppers, and also toast came with that! Both our orders were delicious! I usually don’t order hash browns with my breakfast because I like them crispy, I wish I would have ordered them this morning, my husband was wonderful! Despite the fact that there was a large table of 12 people our order still came out pretty fast and so did theirs! Not too expensive either!

I really enjoyed the place. The lighting was good, server was great, food tonight was exceptional but not the best that it could have been. I had the chicken fried steak and it was a little bit burned and tough to chew. I had to sit there for about five to ten minutes some times to chew. My friend had the fish and it was a little burned as well. She enjoyed her mash potatoes as I enjoyed my baked potato and the fried Mac and cheese appetizer. I recommend the fried Mac and cheese. I will go back to this place.

Eggcellent omelets. Tasted like fresh ingredients made from scratch. Real cozy “down stairs” atmosphere. Wish I could come here more often to see what else is good but we were just passing through town and couldn’t stay. No dogs allowed, though.

The service was great but the steak I had was awful. It came out well done the first time. I was unable to chew it. The second steak (they were very kind to try again) was so raw it was cold in the middle. The salad we old and still had the core/root part. I spent $30 and left hungry. It’s disappointing that I had such expectations and was unable to even eat anything but the side potatoes.

Smaller hole-in-the-wall kinda place attached to a motel. Wife had the ribs: massive portion. I had the steak special: a little undercooked and tough, so A-1 to the rescue. Could probably run a vacuum/sweeper a little more often. But all in all not bad.

Location Review
There are some loyal locals who LOVE this place! WE DO TOO! The food all has that homemade touch and all the food is fresh and good! The chicken fried steak is EXCELLENT on Sundays. The staff is very quick, responsive, accomodating, and very helpful. Try the coffee and the fresh squeezed orange juice. The toast is amazing and cooked how grandma would make it.
