Fast service. Nice selection of beers and drinks. Nachos with BBQ pork were large and delicious. Fried mushrooms were delicious with a different garlic sauce! Great to have a local neighborhood bar and restaurant!!

What a fantastic place to eat! The service was amazing, the server was so friendly. My husband and I shared the biscuits and gravy with eggs and potatoes and the green chili burrito and it was all so amazing. We were camping at the Aspen Acres campground because we live in Colorado Springs but if we lived closer we would definitely eat there more.

This little lodge is located in the San Isabel national forest. It’s open for breakfast and lunch Thursday through Sunday. It was exciting when we realized that some of the staff used to work at the old Max’s diner in Colorado City.

I had Lodge Chicken Bowl – mashed potatoes topped with corn, chicken poppers, cheese and gravy — different and tasty! Loved compostable take out box instead of styrofoam. Only improvement would be to have a few vegetarian options other than ordinary grilled cheese. I will eat meat but prefer not to. Glad they are going to be open year round.
