We stopped here based on the Google ratings and it did not disappoint. I grew up in a similar size Iowa town and this took me back to lunch with my grandparents. I got the 1/2 hot beef (pictured) and it was amazing. I’m not usually a gravy person but this was exceptional and I ate every bite. My husband got the grilled tenderloin and loved it, and the all day breakfast worked well for my picky kids. Next time we’ll try the pancakes and the pie, no room for dessert on this visit but we will definitely be back! Service was very fast and friendly.

This is a greasy spoon dive. You’re going to get good food and lots of it. The two of us each had the country breakfast. Two eggs, hash browns, 3 meats, and toast or pancakes for $12.95 each. The boy who served us did a great job. I’m keeping this place on my list for next time I’m in Perry!

We’ve visited many times but the food is so good we eat and forget to take pictures. Today I remembered!! Lou’s Diner in perry is so delicious!! I got the 6 oz sirloin eggs, toast and opted for hashbrowns instead of the ginormous pancake pictured below. My husband got 3 eggs, hashbrowns, toast and bacon and his daughter got a full order of biscuits and gravy on top of hashbrowns. None of us were able to finish our meals but they were delicious!! Everytime we go the service is friendly and personable. They treat us like friends/ family not just customers. Homestyle cooking, generous portions and great prices. We love lou’s diner!

Went there expecting a good experience. The staff is slow and not personable except for one young man. The place is dingy and dirty, the left the back door open so there was a cold draft in there in the middle of our very horrible meals. The burgers are fake frozen gas station type burgers. The sausage on the biscuits and gravy was poor quality meat. And they forgot my biscuits for my biscuits and gravy. When I asked them about it , they told me they had to charge me for that. Bad prices for such gas station quality food. Will never go there again. They need to remodel and cook actual good food, for me to ever return. Left very disappointed.
