I’m not even joking when I say that was the best mushroom omelette I have ever eaten, the wife had a breakfast sandwich and she said it was most tasty. The wait staff was incredibly helpful and made you feel invited, in fact they helped us with directions to stores we needed to visit while in Elkins. It’s a wonderful place to eat and I highly recommend it

You can find The Lunch Box in an old Pizza Hut (which I think is super cool and takes me back to my childhood). I love all the tin lunch boxes and plants throughout the diner.

First time here and I had the Rubin with onion rings and a sweet tea. I was blown away some of the best onion rings I’ve ever had. The Reuben was perfect and great sweet tea.

I can honestly say I had a great waitress. But I was eating vegetable soup and I found a egg shell in the soup. I had only taken 2 bites of my soup. I gave it to the waitress. I couldn’t eat anymore cause if a egg shell is in the soup what’s else is in it. The waitress had already brought the ticket and it was and when she seen I wasn’t eating anymore she took the ticket and brought a new one back saying the manager gave me a discount. I was looking and she gave me a SENIOR DISCOUNT. And the new bill was $25. My husband got the hotdogs and I got the salad bar and soup bar. I couldn’t eat my salad cause I’m the type once I see something that’s not supposed to be there then I can’t eat anything else. So why didn’t the manager atleast give me a actual discount rather then giving me a senior discount? I would’ve happily paid for my husbands food. But the waitress seen I didn’t eat anything. And only 2 bites of the soup. Cause she took my salad and soup back and asked if I wanted anything and I said no. BUT I WAS WATCHING AND THEY NEVER BROUGHT NEW SOUP OUT. WHY DIDNT THEY IMMEDIATELY TAKE THE ENTIRE PAN OF SOUP THROW IT AWAY AND START OVER. ALL THE MANAGER DID WAS FUSED AT THE PPL IN BACK SAID THEY HAVE TO KEEP THEIR AREA CLEAN?!? I will never eat here again and it was my favorite spot. I see they aren’t clean and they truly don’t care about what we eat. The manager should’ve removed the soup and not let the other customers eat out of it and she should’ve gave me my money back for my meal. I can’t believe ppl runs a restaurant like this!!!

I wish it had something to break up the dining area. It feels like a cafeteria… lol. It is unique with little kid lunch boxes on each table. Everything was clean! The staff was very attentive and friendly.

My family always enjoys eating at the lunch box. We usually go at lunch time, which can be a very busy time at the restaurant, but we have never had to wait for a table or wait very long to get our food, which says a lot about the ability of the restaurant staff. The wait staff is friendly and fast, the menu isn’t too big, or too little, and it offers a large variety of choices, Including breakfast all day which is always yummy, especially the biscuit and gravy, and blueberry waffles, but in my personal opinion the best thing on the menu I’ve tried so far is the turkey bacon club, which isn’t made with just regular lunchmeat, it looks and tastes like they roast/smoke there own turkey breast which is piled high with crispy bacon and is amazing, and with a side of fries that i usually get along side, it is more then I can usually eat at one sitting, but it tastes so good I usually try.

Ate there with a group for breakfast. Service was good and our table handled well. Food was alright, nothing special, I had the triple everything. Would have liked the potatoes a bit more browned and they didn’t have apple butter or marmalade for my toast. Other than that, my order was fine. My friend’s steak was a little tough. The coffee was weak and I specifically mentioned that at check out. and they admitted they have a waitress, not in that day, who likes to make it twice as strong so this I guess can be hit and miss.
