Vegan Delight!!! So, I came across this quaint hole in the wall, “The Lunchbox.” The person serving me was Sean. He was great! As I’m eating healthier, I wanted something good to eat & healthy. They had a nice menu, so I chose the Veggie BLT & the Avocado & Tomato wraps.

Amazing food by a wonderful chef! Sean is a wonderful cook, creating a fresh vegetable soup made with ingredients from the farmer’s market as well as delicious sandwiches (try the Thai chicken!). Best meal in Kingston hands down!

Lunchbox is an absolutely essential dining location in Kingston. Whenever I want something for lunch that’s both delicious and nutritious, I go to lunchbox. Everything on the menu looks and tastes professionally made but with the love and attention of a home-cooked meal. I’m typing this after just devouring a smash-burger taco, and am currently enjoying the INCREDIBLE eggplant white bean stew.

What a little gem of deliciousness. The proprietor is delightful and his recommendations didn’t disappoint. Try the chicken avocado sandwich paired with the brandied pumpkin soup if they are on the menu. This is obviously a neighborhood staple based on the warm greetings of regular customers and those just passing by. Support this small “snug” business of you’re in the Kingston area.

The Lunchbox is a must eat in Kingston. Stopped here for a bite. Very fast service for one person cooking everything. Fresh and tasty! Cute little table and two chairs set up to sit on the sidewalk to eat. Would absolutely return. Recommended especially for cyclists who are riding the rail-trail!

I was on my way to the Yum Yum Noodle Bar Saturday lunchtime when I was drawn in by the amazing smells coming from The Lunchbox. I ended up ordering the vegan BLT and was so pleased I did. The food was wonderful and the proprietor of this tiny establishment couldn’t have been nicer. I’m sure I’ve walked past this place dozens of times and never noticed it. So glad I finally gave it a try!

Needed a quick lunch, and stopped in after hearing good things. It was not the right weather for it, but Sojourner’s Soup (ham, black-eyed peas & kale) was way too good sounding to pass up. It was AMAZING! Best cup of soup I have had in a long time. Owner couldn’t have been more kind and service was fast! I will be back again and again!

For what it is, it is excellent. This is a window on the street behind which stands a very pleasant, soft spoken man serving wonderful, simple lunches and just marvelous soups. His “shop” – on view through the window – is approximately 5×8 feet. In there is a refrigerator, a gas grill and a work surface; my clothes closet is bigger. There is one tiny table on the sidewalk – most folks take away – and a chalk board with the days several specials. This is a gem!
