It wasn’t a very good dining experience. It’s a very strange atmosphere when you walk in. Dim lighting, no theme, no decor. Just empty, poorly lit walls. The service wasn’t very great either. They were friendly, but just weren’t around often to check on us. The food wasn’t bad. The fried pickles were really good. My chicken sandwich was just two chicken strips on a bun, which seemed pretty odd. The whole experience just wasn’t very enjoyable.

Order a rib eye It was cooked med. well as I ordered, but it tasted like charcoal fluid had been poured over it.Needless to say I paid a lot of money for something I bought home for the dog. Don’t know what happened this .I’m usually well pleased.

Welcome to the NEW Main View! Not only is the historic establishment under new ownership but it has been completely remodeled. The inside is light and bright! They have opened it up for a lot of natural light to come in.

Great experience! Staff was very accommodating. Went on a first date with someone there and we stayed a little after hours and never felt rushed at all ! The food was delicious for both of us too!!

Food was good, the salad was just iceberg lettuce rather than the greens as advertised. Our waitress was great!!

I flew into town to visit my brother and was further honored to be the guest bartender at the new MainView this past Saturday night and contribute to the creation of their new cocktail menu (I added a picture of the “and this little piggy…” — bourbon, maple syrup, bitters, and chocolate-dipped bacon). Having been a regular as much as one can from New York, I’ve had many wonderful conversations, book club nights for which no books are discussed, a great beer selection, and even one embarrassing meltdown. As a bartender seasoned by both time and margarita salt, I can attest that the new owners, T.L. and Cheryl, are friendly and attentive to their staff and customers alike. From the new stylings, fresh paint, and refined menu, they are at the helm of a ship going in the right direction. The staff is delightful: Chloe (RTF), Jayden, Clay, Wendy, and Emma, who now knows how to pick out the perfect watermelons for the Flamingo Kiddo. I’m looking forward to returning soon to pretend to discuss books with Bob, Julie, Dale, Tara, Marcie, Rusty, Tim, Sam, MacKenzie, Michelle, Joel, Rust Buster, and BenBoozleBadBoy. Oh, and try the mac and cheese, best one I’ve had in a long time.

Not the healthiest meal I’ve ever eaten, but that’s not why we go to the pub, now is it? Definitely try the fried pickle spears and fried green beans. I had the Hoosier pork chop dinner with fries and coleslaw, it’s a lot of food and pretty affordable. It’s a cozy place with a nice back room.

Considering that we were the only customers in the bar they took forever to take our order, I got my own menus. Then our order was wrong. Our glasses stayed empty. THE NUMBER ONE RULE FOR A BARTENDER ALWAYS KEEP THE GLASSES FULL!!! It would have been nice to have had good service. The food was just ah!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It was super Busy when we got here. They ran out of their fried fish special on Friday night, which was sad for me, but the food that we ordered was delightful. Jenna, our waitress, did a great job.

The waitress was good. I was disappointed in the meal itself. I won’t be back.
