I thought the food was excellent. A lot of people complain about the service but I found it pleasant. The clams with sourdough special was nicely done. I don’t even like clams and it worked. The buccatini, cacio e pepe with peppercorns, and tagliatelle with lamb ragu were all delicious. You can tell they make the pasta fresh and whoever does it knows what they are doing. The trout with cauliflower entree was good but wouldn’t reorder. The dark chocolate budino was also just ok. Come here for the pasta!

We just had the most spectacular meal at The Maker Hotel. The food was aromatic and beautiful when it came to the table…delicious, inventive and authentic flavors. We received the best service from Angelica who made us feel comfortable and happy. It was perfect from beginning to end! The best meal we’ve ever had in Hudson…

My wife and I spend the weekend in Hudson, NY and had the opportunity to visit the Lounge and restaurant. We were celebrating our 30th anniversary and had planned for a special dinner on Saturday night at the restaurant. On Friday night, we stopped in the lounge for an after dinner and we were not disappointed! Best old fashioned on Warren st. The staff were welcoming and lots of fun! Great vibe. On Saturday, we went to dinner in the conservatory. What a beautiful space. Our server was attentive but I was disappointed that there was no mention of our Anniversary. Still opened minded, my wife really wanted oysters and even though they were only on the lounge menu, they were able to accommodate-.very nice

Ambiance is gorgeous (a hair too dark, but still beautiful), and service was impeccable and so warm and friendly on all counts. The risotto was absolutely delicious, and made the authentic way (no cream), it was so flavorful with the perfect texture. The asparagus was a let down; the grated yolk and speck/bacon don’t actually adhere at all to the spears so it doesn’t make a lot of sense, the flavor was okay but not wow. I like a crisp asparagus but these seemed nearly raw. That dish seemed very overpriced for what seemed pretty basic and blah, unfortunately. Was still worth it for all the other wonderful factors I mentioned. Getting in is confusing as there’s not a clear way of finding the restaurant entrance as separate from the Cafe, and it offers a different, better menu than the Cafe, with gluten-free options where the Cafe has none. But once I was sat, I had a lovely experience and would recommend it. Just skip the asparagus and admire the elegant decor.

Nice place for brunch. Bloody Mary was average. Expected more from a fine establishment. What stood out was the mushroom ricotta toast. Wifey really enjoyed the burger. Also enjoyed a great latte in the Cafe.

When I had dinner at the Maker Restaurant 3 months ago I was not so keen on returning. However, with a new chef and the promise of a revamped menu I made my way to the restaurant with my husband and soon be be 18 year old son.

We had breakfast each morning in the café service was wonderful the pastries were unbelievable we had an exquisite dining experience in the restaurant Saturday evening we loved the appetizers: the asparagus with burrata, the crab and rhubarb salad, and radishes were incredible. Complemented by really perfect butter, the bread was amazing. I could’ve eaten much more. The main course: we tried the savory flavorful pork and delicate trout, both wonderfully tasty. We adored the potato gratin. For dessert: treat yourself to the dreamily smooth butterscotch pudding.
