We stopped by for lunch while we were in town based on the Google reviews. We were not disappointed. There was a short wait, so we visited the coffee shop attached to the restaurant and I ordered an iced coffee with sugar free salted caramel with almond milk. It was very delicious. Their baked goods looked amazing, so I ordered a peanut butter cookie for my husband. He said it was the best peanut butter cookie he’s ever had.

Stopped in really quick to check out their sweets. The peanut butter cup cookie was perfect! My husband really liked the taffy. I also ordered a coffee that the sweet girl behind the counter was more than happy to make exactly how I wanted. Highly recommend for coffee & a treat.

This is such a cute place! The chicken strips are hand battered and delicious, although the person I was dining with ordered the country fried steak and wasn’t particularly impressed. We had a nice experience overall and would return again!

My sister and I recently stopped in for some coffee and a snack. We had the pleasure of meeting some of the wonderful women who work there and were recommended to try the petit four, which was not only absolutely adorable but also rather delicious! The staff were very kind and fun and we were to blessed to meet them! The coffee was so good that we got some for the road along with some more snacks! The variety was abundant to choose from! Also, the little shop was very quaint and was full of cute and interesting things. We loved it and if you’re ever in or near Clayton be sure to stop by! Worth the money and the time!

Of course, the restaurant has changed a great deal since Covid. More upscale now. Order the daily specials, they are still good. The chicken salad was dry and bread a little old. The food was better in the old place.

The Clayton Cafe offers the best of Clayton,Georgia with its atmosphere, friendly service, and tasty food. Their pot roast is amazing, and so is the great selection of sides. I don’t mind waiting to be seated (when there’s a wait-time) because there’s a dessert exhibit, a coffee bar, an ice cream bar, and a nice shop.
