Your typical BBQ spot but it’s the type of BBQ that would make you ALMOST want to move back to the South. The location is nice and spacious for large parties. There’s also a brewery a few doors down that have picnic tables so why not grab some Barbecue and head down for a good ole beer to pair with your food!?

Visiting from CT for the week, my husband passed away before we could come down so I wanted to find a great BBQ place for him. It certainly would have made him happy. The staff was friendly, helpful and the food was fantastic. If I ever come back, I’ll be sure to stop in.

What happened to this place? I’ve been living away for 3 years and just moved back. Ordered the brisket burrito because it was always my wife’s favorite, figured I’d try it. I’ve had pork cracklings that were more tender than the brisket in this thing! It’s like jerky. Not impressed anymore and probably won’t be back. This place used to be great, and I’m a former pitmaster at Peg Leg Porker in Nashville. Sorry, but it’s an honest review.

Unfriendly service when ordering (better when I returned for something), cold food, slaw not as described, minimal drink options, no rolls or cornbread with the 2-side meat plate (which ice found to be a pleasant norm at other BBQ restaurants), and plastic cutlery so small and flimsy it was barely usable– and this all right after opening, when everything should be at its best. The second star in my rating is for the brisket, which was very flavorful and tender. It would have been excellent if it had been hot and fresh.
