The Merchant House is such a wonderful addition to downtown Greenville! The ambiance is awesome with the exposed brick and chalkboard art. The service is prompt and friendly. There was a great variety of menu items to choose from, and everything was delicious. We will definitely come back next time we are in Greenville.

Love this place!! The cocktails are delicious and the food is so good! I recommend the Scotch Egg appetizer and the Chicken and Waffles. The fish was average but the waffle fries are very good. We will definitely be back!

Food was mediocre at best. Got the Asian nachos appetizer, it was good. I got a beef and sausage spicy rice dish, for what I got $18 seems way to pricey especially for a small town, it was overly salty and that’s coming from a salt lover. I did like the spice of the sauce but that was it. We also had the scallop pasta and it was also not very good. Ordered a to go lunch for tomorrow (before we had gotten our food), it was their version of the mash potato bowl at KFC. The attached picture shows what we received, it ended up in the bin. All and all I don’t want to be to harsh it’s a small town and I think most people who go here and rate it highly probably haven’t been anywhere outside of this town so they don’t know what’s out there. But I had to leave a review just based on the prices of the food and the quality of the dishes.

We love this place. The food has always been great, the service is fantastic, and the atmosphere is pleasant. One of the few places that still has a reasonably priced kid’s menu as well. Whether it’s a date night or a family dining experience, I’m sure you’ll be pleased with the merchant house.

We went to Merchant House with friends yesterday and enjoyed it very much! We shared the Momma Mia pizza as an appetizer, delish!!! And the Scotch Eggs were fun and good, too. I also tasted the Vegetarian Pizza Bomb, great! And my husband had the Fish and Chips which were also tasty, with the Hush Puppies. Fun atmosphere with great service in a country town! Thank you!

My server was prompt and attentive, but not excessively. I had the crab cakes with sweet potato fries. Fabulous! And the Butter Pecan Old Fashioned hit the spot. This isn’t close to home, but I would definitely come back if I had the chance.
