First time here. atmosphere was that hometown feeling, plenty of items on the menu. Service was OK. Facilities were clean except the tile floor going into the bathroom was VERY slick and slippery. Be careful.

In LOVE with the Mod Olive. The eclectic decor, the helpful, entertaining staff, the Art-o-Mat, the varying menu, and ambient atmosphere is to die for. I felt safe and welcome during my whole dine at this restaurant. I suggest the egg noodles, steamed broccoli, sweet potato tater tots, and chocolate fondue. I can’t wait to dine here again.

Service was a little slow but the staff was very friendly and the food was hot and delicious. The decor is pretty cool too. Parking can be issue at times. I recommend parking on N Saratoga St and walking through the bank parking lot.

I have always heard great things about Plaid Turnip/Mod Olive. My fiancé and I decided to see what all the hype was about. Oh.My.Goodness… There was a short wait because the place was packed which is always a great sign! The waiters communicate well, are hospitable, and have super friendly/upbeat attitudes. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. My steak was cooked to perfection very tender/juicy! We highly recommend!!

The Mod Olive is a unique and themed restaurant reminiscent of the 50s, complete with menu items like ambrosia salad and meatloaf Wellington. I dream of Jeanie played on the bar tv and the decor was cute and colorful. The staff was very nice and welcoming and the food was fantastic. We got the Mac and cheese sandwich with both the Nashville chicken and bacon option as well as the thanksgiving sandwich. Both sandwiches were fantastic! Warm , flavorful, creative. The waffle fries were the best I’ve had in a while from anywhere. We went late in the evening so the dessert case was limited but we’d love to come back and try that as well!

The mimosas are AMAZING, I got mine with Prosecco. I ordered the brunch burger with grits and it was kind blowing good, grits are the best grits I’ve ever had and I’m not a grits person. The server/bartender Kelsey was really helpful and super friendly! Definitely recommend this place and will be returning very soon!

The food and selections of food is massive. We saw a couple who had ordered the chicken and waffles and I’m telling you it was so large it could have fed a starving country. With the amount of food you get compared to the prices…very much worth it. Not to mention it was very good. You will not be disappointed with the serving size or the taste/flavor. The service on the other hand was not great from the moment we walked in the door. The woman behind the bar looked at us several times and never said a word to us, another waitress looked straight at me and again never said a word. I wasn’t sure if we should just seat ourselves or not. The lady who sat us was very nice. Our server was very very nice and helpful with suggestions, however her get up and go had long been gone. She very much sauntered around and we waited long times to receive drinks and our food and even boxes. We had to ask for refills on our drinks, even though she was always by our table with other guests. The food took a very long time to get to us and it wasn’t particularly hot when it came to us. This is a place I would go back to because the food was that good and I’m really just hoping the service was just off on this day. I highly recommend the fried olives! Sounds weird, tastes amazing. The only other issue that I had was watching a table get sat that had never been cleaned off. I only know this because we were sitting next to the table and watched the dishes get removed but never wiped down. The person who sat the table just brushed off a large crumb still on the table and still sat the people instead of saying give me a moment and I will wipe this down for you.

The ambiance was on point. The server was excellent, however, my husband’s salad had a bread tie in it but that wasn’t the worst part. His entree came out, it was a chicken dish and sadly the chicken was raw. I would like to give them another try. Hopefully next time it will be a better experience.

The place is tidy. Servers all very friendly and welcoming. We were constantly checked on while we were there. They have good cocktails. I hate sweet drinks and their cocktails are sweetened perfectly.
