Had a really lovely anniversary dinner at Nesst recently. The vibe is pretty cool (although the 80s music was kinda a weird addition ha) and we got a seat next to a window which was nice to be in our own little corner.

Our server Mark, was great! The atmosphere was nice as well. We had a corner table with windows overlooking the downtown area. The food was just okay for the price. Would definitely recommend the fried green tomatoes. Had to wait a while to receive our entrée. My husband and I split the porterhouse. While it was cooked well, the cut was very fatty and stringy. Would not order it a second time, especially since it was $55. Overall a nice experience but overpriced for the quality of food received.

We had an outstanding meal here and enjoyed fantastic service. My sister’s wedding party came by and lucked into seating. Apparently, despite thinking there were reservations, we had none. I feared we were out of luck and an angry bride would be unleashed, but management was quick to find room for us. I’m not giving this to anything but a bit of chance and the kindness and professionalism of the staff. Our waiters were of sterling quality and the same can be said of the food and drink.

If you are coming to celebrate a birthday, do not bring your own cake. They wanted to charge us $3 a person for a slice of our own cake, even though they only offer one item for dessert which is a banana split. The food was good but it took about an hour and a half to cook, and two of the steaks came out raw.

To start, I’m not a foodie. I don’t ever leave reviews for food. I eat to live, not live to eat haha. However, this place really did it for me. The best pork chop and asparagus I’ve ever had. The mashed potatoes were really good too. Our server was the perfect amount of attentive (I can’t remember his name, but he was great). He was always there right when we needed him, but never in an annoying lurking way. I was really impressed with this little gem and glad my husband and I made the hour long drive for it.
