This is the first time I’ve been to the New West Restaurant. I was hesitant to eat here because of some of the reviews, however we got there and the inside of the place is absolutely beautiful, spotlessly clean and the service was terrific. Our server was kind and friendly. We ordered wings, a fish fry meal and a chef salad. All the food was done terrifically, and the french fries that came with the wings were absolutely amazing. I wouldn’t eat french fries any other place besides here if I had a choice. I highly recommend this as your next dinner stop because the service and food exceeded my expectations.

The New West is a good sit down/bar style restaurant, they offer more local alcoholic beers and have an inhouse “moonshine” that I am looking forward to buying when it’s available.

The bartender was super friendly, in fact everyone that worked there was really friendly. They have a really good menu and apparently their prime rib is absolutely amazing. I was in the mood for a burger so I got this western burger here with barbecue sauce and onion rings and it was amazing. Definitely worth giving a shot.

The one star is purely out of service from the bartender. The food would have been better from a fine dining dumpster. French onion soup with more grease than soup. Green beans out of a can. Crab cakes burnt with old fryer oil and made with imitation crab meat for real lump crab prices. The food is just simply terrible for a terrible price. I don’t see this place making it very long.

The food was pretty good. The atmosphere was nice but weird, like they were trying way too hard, but just couldn’t connect with the customers. There were 2 tables eating when we got there and only one other set of customers came in while we were there. This was dinner time. The other restaurant, less than 2 minutes away, had a full parking lot when we drove by after we left, even though their food was not as good. It’s probably because this other place had a comfortable atmosphere whereas this place was weird and uncomfortable.

Although I am not one for publicly depreciating a business, our experience was very disappointing. I respectfully explained my concerns and was merely brushed off with a “oh that’s ok honey, your just not used to smoked fish.”

I just want to say I’m glad I wasn’t deterred by the bad reviews but my experience was awesome the food was amazing customer service was great I think this restaurant is best kept secret I will return many times the drink selection best I’ve ever seen the atmosphere was inviting for kids and adults thank you had a good experience

we ordered pulled pork loaded fries, pulled pork sandwich with fries and the Piggy Back mac and cheese which also has pulled pork in it and it all was delicious! highly recommend this place. the waiter was friendly and attentive!
