Never ever ever ever go to the Nite Cappe in Lackawanna for fish! The fish was RAW and my server wouldn’t believe me. It was actually frozen. Server was rude, didn’t apologize. She also swapped my glass and my husband glasses for refills. So my water has remnants of his pop in it. When I got my second fish almost a half hour later I’m not convinced it wasn’t the SAME fish. They also didn’t serve it with the bread and butter it was supposedly to come with. The sides tasted horrible. WWe will 100% never come back.

Came in on friday night as a party of 6 who mostly ordered the fish fry dinners which were great. Large pieces of fish with awesome sides. Huge meal. This unassuming place is a local favorite.

Went last night for a Fish Fry. Clearly they were not prepared. 20 min wait turned into another 20 min wait turned into leaving. Being short staffed is one thing but being rude is a joke. bartenders who don’t even bother looking your way when there’s cash right on the bar? Literally walk back and forth with no acknowledgement. They should’ve just shut the place down instead of ticking people off. No need to go back and no way will I spread a good word.

Not a bad spot but would be great if they liven it up. It was really slow mellow music and just not a good atmosphere for Friday night. We were just out for happy hour and a bite to eat but I felt like I was falling asleep after 2 hours in. Great fish fry though.

I will completely honest. We have been there twice and never will again. Waitress super nice but the food is awful. Greasy fish, unappetizing sides. My husband returned his RAW lobster tail three times and still raw. At least they charged us nothing for the 2 bites taken. Waitress is too good for this place and needs to go where she can actually make money.

If you are going to advertise steak and seafood they should have more than one steak ….only had strip steak…fish fry was excellent….dishwasher needs to do a better job at cleaning dishes I had crust on my fork that was rolled up in a napkin…and the second one I got was the same…third one was clean…Heidi the waitress was very pleasant but needs to be more informed on what goes with what….management needs to be there and properly train these people. I was going to bring my girls there for dinner but not now. The only thing was good was the fish fry.

It was a slow evening when I stopped in on a Wednesday. The bartenders were kind and attentive and the place was very clean. I split cheese fries and a steak quesadilla with a friend and both menu items were delicious. I only wish they had a wider selection of craft beers…the majority available were “lites.”
