Fun local spot to catch local musicians doing their thing. Saw a friend play a solo set in the bar room here and bar staff was polite and courteous. Also, these days it’s important to note the atmosphere was diverse and inclusive. Some of these dives are very opposite and I appreciate that relaxed atmosphere. Thanks to all who work here. Would love to catch a show in the bigger room!

We went for a Rotary dinner to plan out the Classic Car show on Sept 17 in Nutley (stop by, it’s going to be amazing) the waitress was attentive, friendly and efficient, got the entire groups orders right from drinks straight thru to coffee. Food was delicious.

My experience at the Old Canal Inn was average. This place is a retro vibe and plenty of TV’s and the service is very good and our server was very friendly. But the problem is the prices we just got a Appetizer sampler which has mozzarella sticks mac & cheese bites, chicken tenders and we also got 2 orders of wings. The wings were ok and 2 beers the price shouldn’t come out to $69 we didn’t even get a entree. For the quality of the food and the price I wouldn’t come back.

Cool pub and atmosphere, with 2 bars, plenty of tvs to watch sports. The also have a big selection of beers. Our server (amanda) was on it, she gave us great service, she was very friendly and gave suggestions for both beer and food menu.

Heard about the legend of the Death Seat at the Old Canal Inn featuring the death burger which is only on the menu on Mondays. What a great place full of all kinds of History and Legends. If you are a Burger Fan, the death burger is innovative and above all Great. Shocked that this is not on the top of every burger list. This burger is deep fried in beer batter, jalepeno mashed potatoes, nacho cheese brings this beast of a burger all together. Friendly Staff. We ate next to the death seat, but looks like the other half of this place is newly renovated with indoor and outdoor seating. A must stop for any Burget Fan, only on Mondays though. Great Job Old Canal Inn.

Great beer choices with great food. Really nice but small outdoor seating with umbrellas. Good variety of appetizers to entrees. Good sized renovated dining room with bar. Would definitely recommend.
