Originally opened in 1988 by the Sarajian family, The Original Bailey’s (formerly Bailey’s Rib & Steakhouse) has been a Mount Pocono, PA, favorite for a long time, and is still owned by the Sarajian family today. Bailey’s building is quite historic – originally built in the 1920’s as a convent for the Diocese of Scranton, during its hotel days it was known as the Thunderbird. The Sarajians have transformed the building into a large restaurant with a separate bar area, several intimate dining areas, and larger rooms able to accommodate large families with children. Quality is the belief behind Bailey’s food. Every steak Bailey’s serves is U.S.D.A. top choice or higher and our hamburgers are made from Certified Angus Beef.

We wanted to try something outside of the Kalahari Water Park and Resort and we were glad we found Bailey’s. It was only a 10 minute drive from Kalahari. The pulled pork and ribs were great and so was the mussels with garlic butter we had as an appetizer. The wait staff was amazing but they do get busy. There is a reason why this family own business has been around for so long. Definitely give this place a try when you are in town like we were. Did I mention it was kid friendly with quite a number of options on their kid’s menu? Definitely planning on coming back.

We ordered three meals..2 of them they did not charge us for after pushing the issue that i was not paying for garbage…they were terrible.. Do not recommend scallops and crab meat meal…also Chicken dinners not recommended . When we first complained they offered us free dessert and expected us to pay for the two garbage meals. Here’s the sad part ,we waited three days For them to open, we were so excited to go there. Atmosphere very nice. Waitress very Kind. A woman manager Was not to receptive at first

Well this is the 2nd bad experience within a few month’s, I never had any bad experiences with paying the bill, I put 60.00 cash & a credit card for the bill, I assumed the waitress would question the 60.00 cash, we were busy talking, the girl took the bill, cash, & credit card, awhile later brought the bill to sign &; noticed I got charged the full 125.70 on check no mention of 60.00 went back in on check? I signed the check, went back inside to find waitress & asked what she did with 60.00 cash she said I took it as a tip without asking me if it was for tip, she was floored when I demanded it back, a 60.00 tip was really outrageous to give, I should have never given her 20.00 she was very dishonest, I’ll never go to Baileys in Mt Pocono again, the food is overpriced & the food is sub standard…..

Musty smell in place they need a dehumidifier. And ladies room stank really bad they need an automatic air freshener that sprays every 20 minutes. Went on a Sunday around 2, waitress was super friendly, we loved her. Food was ok. Need better bread not hard as brick rolls. But the prices they charge for the portions they give not worth the money. They have listed chopped steak on menu BUT it’s really hamburger meat. A real chop steak is just that a sirloin steak put through a meat grinder.

Had reservations for 7:30 got there at 7 table wasn’t quite ready with a more then half empty restaurant. Rolls were hard as a rock. Took way too long to even just get our drinks water & soda. For this very reason we tried to place our appetizers and entree orders together to kill time but the waitress refused. Tried to help her by letting her know that the bill would be split she didn’t want to hear it at that moment. When food came out some was cold or Luke warm. Never got refills nor checked on between appetizers and entrees. The experience took 2 1/2 hrs and the manager was less then helpful.

I enjoyed the service and food. delicious bread rolls . i ordered a rack of ribs, were good ,but too much bq sauce on it for my taste. Hubby ordered a cheese burger with mushrooms that was out the park. Creme burlee for dessert really good. Great prices. enjoyable relax atmosphere. spacious.

Last week we had a private party there , for the second year in a row , the food was great but the courtesy and service was even better . AJ and Michelle and I think her name was Ann were fantastic. The bartender Rob was also very fast and patient and courteous. I got nothing but great comments back from all the guys who went . We are coming back to Mt Airy for our golf trip again , and I will definitely be contacting this restaurant again . Our fundraiser was a huge success and Baileys is a big part of it .
