This place is ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. I am not one to leave reviews, but I ordered pizzas from here for a work event recently. A HAIR WAS LITERALLY BAKED INTO THE CHEESE ON THIS PIZZA. I returned a couple of the WHOLE pizzas once we found the hair in the pizza (obviously who wanted to eat it then). They refused to give me money back, as they said people already ate some of the pizza. $150 down the drain for pizza with hair in it that nobody touched and were disgusted after eating some. The owner was very rude, zero help, and would not come out to speak to me. She claimed it was like getting free food – NASTY. I even left the pizzas I brought back in my vehicle to not cause a scene in front of others in the restaurant and be respectful. So much for that! I would starve before I’d eat at this place. This place deserves ZERO stars, but it won’t let me post without at least leaving one star.

Nice little café. We had a pizza and it was good. Service was excellent and the soda ppp was too. It’s nice when they clean the lines… You can tell!

We were looking for food at a local business and this was a great choice. It’s a small place where the people are comfortable enough to take off their shoes while eating. The service was great as was the food. The prices match the amount of the delicious, freshly made food served. There are regulars who are known by face and name. Go early because it fills up quickly. We wanted to go back for breakfast on Sunday but by 9:30 am the place was already at COVID capacity. If we’re ever in this area again, we’ll be sure to stop for a bite to eat!

The food is always delicious, the portions are generous, and the price is surprisingly low for the high quality of food we always receive. The service is friendly and efficient every time. If you’ve never had lemon rice soup, try it. If you have, this is probably better than any other place you’ve had it at. It’s an hour away, but worth the trip each time. Now that it’s on the Upside app, we might frequent even more often.

Has the owners changed? I work here once a month, stay in Merrillville and love to eat at this restaurant. The past two times I’ve been here the food isn’t as good as it used to be. Soup was hot, roll was stale, chicken chewy, potatoes okay would of been better if warm at least, vegetables watery and old. Tasted like canned pudding. 3 stars because of the waiter. Very disappointing

Visiting my brother in Crown Point from South Texas and took me to this place for breakfast. Coffee was good and French toast had good flavor. Thats all I had but my brother had a wrap that looked delish.

Food was average. Nothing to race about. Standard cafe experience. Was not offered a high chair for my daughter. Server kept apologizing for everything which got annoying. Ordered a 12″ pizza but they stated they ran out. So I know the pizza dough is store bought. Got the 16″ at no extra charge which was a good gesture. Place is quaint and small. To feed 4 people the bill was around $30 which makes this the most affordable location I’ve experienced. If you need a bite and on a budget, stop in.

Pork chop was tough. Cooked just right and flavor was great. Chops should be marinated in oil overnight to be tender. Took chop home and put in pressure cooker and chop fell off bone. Delicious
