Tonight was 12/10 service. We came for a late night birthday dinner and the Executive Chef (Eduardo) was absolutely amazing. He also brought down some excellent desserts from 10th&Terrace for us to celebrate. What a great experience. Definitely intend to return!

Food was not worth the price. Both burgers were overcooked. Lava cake was not a lava cake at all and it took 20 mins to come out after we ordered it. Hope your experience is better than ours. The hotel breakfast is better than their dinner.

We ordered 2 burgers, 1 shrimp scampi, bread pudding, and a lava cake. 1 burger was ordered medium-rare, it came out with the tiniest bit of a pink hue here and there. 1 burger was ordered medium and it was beyond dead and so so dry. I’m OK with getting a well done burger if it’s not dry. This one may as well cosplayed a desert. The shrimp scampi had good, nicely done shrimp but was totally outdone and ruined by waaaaay too much lemon. The sauce was all on the bottom, not much stuck to the pasta at all. So I suppose they just decided to squeeze an entire lemon over the plate. That’s what it tasted like.

Atmosphere is classy while being laid back. Food is top notch and not so complex it’s overwhelming. Everything complemented each other beautifully. Do yourself a favor and order the Flatbread appetizers! Location is excellent and perfect for a drink or early dinner before a show. The only better than all of this is the personality of the staff.

This experience was a 12/10. We came 45 minutes before the kitchen closed, and they did not disappoint. Eduardo the EXECUTIVE chef took amazing care of us and the food was excellent. If you don’t come here for a meal, you’re truly missing out #WorthIt!!

Come for the cocktails, stay for the food! Seriously, it’s shocking to have a mid-range hotel with a great restaurant and bar. Great steaks cooked perfectly to your liking, delicious specials (I had red snapper), and the apps are a must (try the chicken fritters). The staff are super friendly, too! That includes the chef who was helping deliver the food and checking in to see how diners enjoyed their meal. Oh, almost forgot…the honey butter is an absolute treasure.

My family and I ate dinner here before going to a concert. It was convenient to parking and the Red Hat Amphitheater and it turned out to be a great decision. The menu isn’t the largest I’ve seen, but there was definitely something for everyone, and I could have happily eaten anything on the menu. The food was delicious and perfectly prepared and portioned. Our server, Ricky, was attentive without hovering and made some great recommendations. He was both professional and personable, and a great asset to The Overlook. We’re happy to have found a great spot to eat next time we’re in Raleigh!
