Visited Saturday, August 26th, at 5:30 pm, a party of 6 to celebrate a birthday. 4 steaks ordered, 1 pork and 1 chicken. The scallop potatoes needed seasoning, but the proteins everyone enjoyed. Our drinks ran dry, but there were only 2 servers. The restaurant is very small and they keep their extra furniture in front of the kitchen like a storage area due to the lack of space. The best item was the “let the chef pick your meal” lobster mashed potatoes were amazing. They are not on the menu to order, so we may not be frequent patrons.

Amazing everything. I had the herb crusted flat iron steak. The gravy put this dish over the top. The steak was tender and herbed perfectly. We will be back. I also had their take on a spicy Margarita. It’s sweet with a spicy finish. In Love. Don’t judge my picture….I jumped right into eating!

Large portions, but not great. The short ribs were too fatty to eat. The short rib grilled cheese had some sort of strawberry sauce which made it worse. Not impressed at all, the only AMAZING thing was the deserts which are not made in house. Service was really good, I wouldn’t return for the food.

I wanted to try something different for a business meeting I was hosting and came across The Peppermill: Steakhouse. I thought the menu had unique selections other than just steak so I decided to try it. I was shockingly surprised at how good the food and service was. I ordered the Chef’s Whim, pictured on the far left. He made a great combination of roasted chicken, grilled eggplant and lobster in a creamy Curry sauce. The second photo is the Seafood Risotto and the person eating this dish was very impressed. It must have been good because they ate all of it and didn’t leave anything on the plate. The 3rd photo is the leg of lamb and the person eating this dish was also pleased. He commented that it was cooked perfectly and wasn’t overcooked. For dessert, we ordered the Chef’s Whim again and he made us a banana fosters bread pudding. The banana paired well with the bread pudding and gave it a unique twist.

This is a great restaurant! Our server was great; very friendly and super helpful. The only reason I wouldn’t give it 5 stars this time around… I was feeling adventurous, so my brother and I both did the Chef’s Whim (the chef gets to make you whatever he likes, no two plates will be the same). We started to regret it when the plates arrived at the table; mine was the seafood dish and my brother got duck two ways. I love seafood, but the dish was a bit strange with lots of asparagus and what looked to be sliced hot dogs. Everyone else at our table ordered steak, they were ranting and raving about their steaks. So, both my brother and I had regrets and wished we had just stuck with steaks. I would definitely go back and try this place again, except to control what my dish will be.
