The Pie takes no shortcuts! We believe that quality takes time. It would be a MIRACLE if you get your pizza in less than five minutes! We like to consider ourselves old school, with no frozen dough or pre-shred bagged pizza cheese here. Everything at The Pie is made to order. Pizza dough is hand-rolled and hand-tossed the traditional way. We slice our meats, cheeses, and vegetables fresh every morning. Our sauces and dressings are made in-house too. The Pie also offers Utah’s best local Vegan and Gluten Free options.
We do this not because it’s the new culinary trend, we do this because we are a local family-owned and operated business and have done it that way for over 43 years. To us, it’s more about the interaction than the transaction.

I Love this place! The ambiance is so inviting! Especially on their patio! They have fire pits which are perfect for colder months. Completely enclosed with mesh type coverings to see through and get some fresh air.

This is my favorite regular/thick crust pizza. We eat vegan, and their vegan menu is amazing. Will come back again and again and again. Pickup is always smooth, eating in is always good, staff has always been friendly. Great organization, thanks for being part of our community.

This is the place for me that all other pizza places are measured. I have yet to find any other place that heaps the ingredients on like this and doesn’t have soggy crust. I started going to the Salt lake restaurant when I lived there over 30 years ago. Was so excited when they got a location in Ogden even though the first location didn’t have the same ambiance but the newer location has a lot more character. It’s one of the few places that all my picky kids can agree on.

When we ordered our pizzas, we were warned there would be an hour wait. That’s not a big deal on a Friday night, so we ordered and found a seat. After an hour and a half, we realized other guests who had arrived after us had received their food already, so we asked about our order. They had it ready for us a few minutes later, but our food was in boxes even though we had ordered dine-in. I thought maybe they had put our pizzas on the to-go window by mistake, but the manager said they had only been ready for a few minutes. Okay, no big deal, right? Wrong. Our food was barely warm when we finally started eating, so the manager definitely lied to us. This all could have been forgiven if not for the manager’s dishonesty. I have loved The Pie in SLC since my college years, but I don’t think I can ever return to the Ogden location.
