I ordered 2 plates to go. I requested dark side flounder for both orders. Out of 5 TINY pieces of flounder, one was dark side. The flounder was so tiny and thin, it was mostly breading.

Ordered a 4 piece fish plate and got 4 pieces of fish the size of my thumb….. And was told that’s a accurate serving size. The pieces might have added up to a half of a fillet. $20 and they won’t let you make your own salad bar options they give you what they feel like you have no say in the food your paying for.

The food is great. The only reasons I didn’t give it five stars is that our server took decent care of us but she was in a constant rush to get back to the conversation in the kitchen and the bathroom is in dire need of upgrades, at the very least a deep floor cleaning.

The best family breakfast/seafood restaurant in this small town and for the surrounding communities. Wonderful customer service, that may not be as fast as you would like but they cook to order so a little wait is to be expected. This restaurant assist all customers equally with no discrimination of any kind. The prices are absolutely reasonable for a fresh seafood restaurant. Because most of the employees are waiters and waitresses ( A position wage less than minimum wage $1.80-$7.25 hourly to support their love ones). I feel gratuity is a must along with appreciation for excellent customer service. Because of our recent National pandemic COVID-19, they have made accommodations for their customers to keep our families and community safe. We’re all going to get through this together and my family and I thank y’all for your service!!!! God is LOVE, Love thy neighbor

My husband and I stopped in for breakfast on our way to Hickory. It was our first time eating here. Food was great! My husband felt very uncomfortable due to the waitress staring at him the whole time. And when he mentioned it to me, I started noticing it as well. Very rude to do that and very disrespectful to us. That is the only reason we will not be eating here again.

Nov. 2021: My family enjoyed the seafood so much while visiting, we went back for dinner 2 nights in a row! Extremely fresh, perfectly cooked & prices haven’t increased due to inflation yet. Staff was consistently professional, courteous & kind. Thank you, Pier!

Update: open for once. I ordered a salad and the woman literally complained about making it within earshot. And my bacon on the salad was a piece of flimsy bacon. One piece. No cut up tomatoes or veggies.

The Pier has a seafood menu at night & it has plenty to choose from , one of my favorites is the catfish fillets plate . But today I joined a friend for lunch and The Pier has a lunch buffet as well as specials & menu items . I choose the buffet which had plentiful choices such as fried flounder , grouper which I never tried but found it excellent. Meatloaf , fried chicken, mashed potatoes , gravy , green beans , cabbage , greens , beans , hush puppies. fried squash , a well stocked salad bar with fresh vegetables & dessert . The food was really good as was the salad . There is a tasty chicken salad & macaroni salad on the salad bar . A banana pudding & fruit cocktail for dessert if you have room . My friend ordered a chicken sandwich with fries from the menu , no frozen chicken patty here . It was a fresh chicken breast grilled on the bun & my friend was very pleased & said it was really delicious . The buffet for lunch is $9.25 & that includes your drink . I found it to be worth it & delicious .
