Delicious new york style pizza that is arguably the best food in Nevada City. Place is very popular so make sure to call on advance. Pepperoni and Sausage toppings were really good and staff was friendly. Yumm

I am an avid hater of New York style pizza, but The Pizza Joint changed my perspective. Their pizza is hands down the best NY pizza I’ve ever had. It’s flavorful, crunchy, and the slices are perfect size. Will go again next time I’m in town!

The pizza here is best in town. Unfortunately it’s hard to get them to actually pick up their phone to order. Their hours say Monday 3-8 so I called to order a pizza and they just picked up the phone and took it off the hook. I kept calling for a full 45 minutes hoping to get through since they already picked up once. They did not pick up again. When we finally made it to the restaurant to place an in person order there was a sign on the door that said no longer open on Monday. Even though there were at least 3 employees in there and pizza in the case. Absolutely shocking to have them pick up the phone and not communicate. I wasted time and gas just to order from them. It was obvious the picked up on my first call and then just set the receiver down because I could her talking a music while I tried to get someone to answer. Disappointed.

Was yelled at today by woman working the cash register because I did not understand what beers they had the first time around. Very strange and aggressive. I even asked calmly if we should go somewhere else. Best pizza around but why so aggressive?

Honestly, the best pizza I’ve had in Grass Valley or Nevada City. They’ve got fluffy, tasty crust and tomato sauce that doesn’t taste like a can. (The bar is low for small town pizza).

Delicious pizza by the slice place! No seating inside but you can take your pizza down the street and enjoy it at the tables and benches available to all in front of the Chamber of Commerce.
