Went to “the plating” for the first time last night with friend’s recommendation and I loved it! Although it took some time for our food to come out, I understood since there was only one chef at the time with full customers. The food was very good, clean, and felt like eating jipbap. Had small chat with the owner/chef after eating and she did an awesome job decorating the store herself & again the food was delicious! Would def. recommend to friends!

To begin, just as the name of the restaurant, the interior and plating is both fun and elegant. Lots of colors all around the restaurant yet they all compliment each other adding onto the comforting ambiance of the restaurant. The dishes have a clean taste finish, they don’t overdo it with the seasoning and most definitely do not use msg. Looking at the other reviews I think the chef alters the dishes little day by day depending on seasonal ingredients im guessing. Even with so many korean restaurant options around the area, The Plating is one that stands out with taste and attention to detail. Recommend everyone to experience it for themselves.

I’ll be honest that I’ve had better Korean food elsewhere as the food here tasted bland. Presentation is pretty, the service great, the thought into it is great but the taste lacks. The Cinnamon punch tasted like water with cinnamon (no other flavor dimensions).

4 stars does not mean food was bad. It just was not for me. It does not serve traditional korean food. Rather call it fusion korean food that was made for non-korean customers. They do not serve JJige or meunTang as a korean restaurant. Store was clean and cozy with jazz music playing. Staff was very kind and he know what he was doing. Owner herself was cooking in the kitchen. Food wasba little pricybfirbabkorean casual dinning butbwas ok. Overall it was good.
