Wow…..if you get a chance to get here…Definitely take it. We came in on a Sunday afternoon for the BBQ. But I had no idea what the setting would be like. Absolutely amazing. The food is 5 star++, the service gal and guys cared about the customer. I had the pulled pork sandwich, my husband had the brisket…side dishes were great. But the views from everywhere in this place just put this place over the top!! We will definitely be back.

I was in Richmond, Virginia for business and spent a Saturday morning hiking the Pocahontas State Park when I had this idea. What if I just drove the 2+ hour trip to the edge of Virginia and found some random place to have BBQ. Well that’s exactly what I did. The Point BBQ was worth every mile. I had such a great time hanging out with the owners who were awesome by the way. I had a little bit of everything, the brisket and smoked turkey were off the charts. After some great eats, walked a few feet, just kicked my feet up and watched the water and soaked in the vibe. Do yourself a favor, take the drive – away from all the touristy nonsense and indulge in some great hospitality and excellent food.

This is by far the best bbq I’ve had in the area. The staff was super friendly and the brisket and pulled pork were some of the best we’ve had (having lived in Austin this says a lot!). Loved both the sweet and spicy bbq sauces. Our family of 4 shared a 3 meat platter and had leftovers. We did takeout, but it is in a great location with water views. We will be regulars here.

Best BBQ I’ve had. The owner puts a lot of thought into the menu. It was hard to pick a favorite item between the meats, sauces, and sides. Glad we got the platter so we could try as much as possible! Great views, spectacular food, and wonderful service.

I’ve been in VA for 2 days and found this gem of a BBQ joint. Got the 3 meat platter with Turkey, brisket and pulled pork with brisket chili and Mac as the sides. Everything was amazing with special recognition to the turkey and brisket chili . The portions were plenty. I left with leftovers for dinner and got some pumpkin cheesecake to go which was also . The outdoor seating had great water front views on both sides. Today was a pretty warm day but there was sunshades and the breeze made sitting outside not so bad. The staff was very friendly as well and made me feel at home. Will definitely be back!

My son and I happened to find this treasure recently while out driving around. The people that work there are the reason for this review. They’re very kind, courteous and down to earth. Their professionalism, positive attitude and of course the food will make anyone want to keep coming back for more. I can talk about it all day but encourage anyone to experience it for themselves. Everything was delicious and in my opinion, the potato salad is the best I’ve ever had. Yeah, even better than moms. It’s one of those places that you get excited about knowing that you’re heading there. Talk with these people as I guarantee anyone that they will make your experience all the better. Went for the first time today and everyone really liked what they ordered. I had the beef brisket sandwich with the Mediterranean salad and both were SO good. My hubby had the same sandwich with the chicken fried potatoes. Those potatoes were the bomb! Highly recommend this place. We will be back for sure!
