The food was amazing and drinks were just as good. Prices are a little higher than other places in the area, but worth it for the quality

I am not a foodie, but what I can tell you is my experience overall here was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we spoke to the hostess we were happy. The food was excellent (I had the chicken sandwich), the service was quick, the waitress was extremely knowledgeable and personable. I would definitely suggest this place!!!!

Definitely don’t recommend and won’t come back. The only good thing was our server Andrea that was wonderful. We had oysters that were really good, mussels that weren’t salty enough and ciabatta was hard and dry like it’s 3 days old, fries were wet. They served us red wine in water glasses. After that we ordered steak medium rare and got it medium. Returned it and after couple of minutes manager came and she said: according to our kitchen this is medium rare guys, no apologies no nothing, very unprofessional and rude. By that time steak was cold already and it’s definitely not worth 62$.

This is fine dining with superb food! However, you will never put a fork down without one of the empty plate hunters picking it up to move you along. Please just slow it down. Go and visit France to see how dining can be enjoyed.

Nice ambience. Food was generally good. I got fish tacos which were underwhelming but other fish dishes, especially the specials, were fantastic. Great drinks as well. Book a reservation as this place fills up.

My husband and I have been going to the Port Hunter since they opened. We look forward to our visit every summer however this year we were very disappointed. The service was fine but our food was not. We ordered two entrees , the ahi tuna and halibut. The quality of the fish itself was very good but the preparation was boring and my halibut entree was served lukewarm. When you pay $50 for an entree it should be exceptional. Sadly these were not. We were told there is a new chef this year.

While the Vineyard has a much shorter history of slavery than the rest of the United States, abolishing it 1776, Port Hunter celebrates this short history. The largest and proudest painting in this establishment is centered by a display of a black man slaving on Martha’s Vineyard pastures. Truly a disgrace to any patron, traveler, or American enjoying their time on the vineyard. SMH!!

The fish tacos are an ABSOLUTE must!! So fresh and not too heavy. Buffalo Brussel sprouts were also a must have. Inside is nice for a drink as well. Usually have live music and a fun atmosphere.

Been going here for years. Summer 2023 is not their best season. It’s awkward, at best.

We stopped here for apps and it was great. We sat at the bar and the corn appetizer was incredible as was the Brussels sprouts. They have some amazing art work through out as well. I highly suggest you make reservations as we tried to make some and could not get in. Go you will not be disappointed.
