We came on a date night. Ordered the stuffed mushrooms, meatballs, ahi tuna, and shrimp and grits all at once (it was kinda late (9:40). Everything arrived one at a time like a tapas bar… perfectly. Espresso martini and old fashioned was awesome, best old fashioned I’ve tasted (and it was my husband’s, lol). Service was phenomenal. Chef Johnny is on point!

Another fabulous meal at The Portrait Gallery Restaurant! We have been here multiple times and each time is delicious. We enjoyed a lovely evening on the patio today and are always excited to see what will be on the ever changing menu. We always order the Brussels sprouts because no matter how they prepare them, they are tasty. In addition to the Brussels, tonight we enjoyed the flatbread – and yes, the watermelon and feta work to create a wonderful summertime combo! Additionally, we had the seared tuna and the accompanying pineapple salsa really took the flavor up to the next level.

Great restaurant/bar in Matthews. The food is delicious and the drinks are definitely worth trying. The bloody Mary was a little on the sweeter side for my taste, but it went well with the flatbread I ordered. My husband got the brisket hash and it was well cooked and just as good. The service was great! Our server disappeared a few times, but I appreciated it because we had a bigger party and that gave us time to chat. The bar area itself is really nice, we were in the room behind the bar which was nice, but I could see it getting loud.

We had a great time eating here. The vibe is very warm and inviting. The menu is well-curated with a couple dozen tapas-style dishes to choose. The cocktail menu and bar is fantastic with many beer, wine, and spirits to choose from. Brandon, the owner, stopped by our table multiple times to check on our experience. We will be back!

Hands down the best brunch I have ever hate. The hangover flatbread was amazing, wife got the brisket has which was to die for. The avocado toast was so good!! You must come here! The food is also delicious for dinner and the cocktails are the best around!

Highly recommend PG for Sunday brunch. Got to try quite a bit – Flatbread, avocado everything, chicken & waffles, and breakfast sandwich. They were all very good. The Bloody Mary and mimosa flight were great. We will certainly give dinner a try.
