When I was visiting Baltimore I enjoyed a wonderful meal here. The lobster bisque, classic prime rib, lobster tail, and asparagus were incredible. Jimbo was my server and was very kind, attentive, and we had some great conversations. I highly recommend this restaurant!

My husband and I went to The Prime Rib yesterday for our anniversary. We have a yearly tradition to try a new steakhouse each year. I must say, The Prime Rib exceeded our expectations! The food was amazing from the appetizers, sides, main dishes, and dessert! Our server was very attentive and pleasant. The atmosphere with the piano player made my our dinner even more wonderful. We will definitely be returning customers!

This restaurant is absolutely outstanding from start to finish. We had the local oysters as an appetizer served with cocktail sauce and horseradish. My entree was the New York strip with gorgonzola on top cooked medium, and it was so tender that it could be cut with a butter knife, but of course I had a spectacular steak knife. The sides we ordered were the lobster mac which will change your world, and the Brussels that we’re done just right. And to finish, we had a chocolate mousse cake that was decadent and Rich, but also very light. Our server, Solomon, went above and beyond, not just for our table not just for our table, but everyone he worked with. I had an Old Fashioned that was very smooth and had a vanilla like finish. We paired our steaks with a Cabernet that Solomon recommended. High compliments to all of the staff, especially the chef, our server, Solomon, and the bartender Austin. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for an outstanding meal.

Came here for a Christmas date. The Friday night live music was a nice touch and the food was very, very good. I ordered the pork chop and it was cooked perfectly medium well. The crab cake my date ordered was very good, albeit a little small and closer to top 10 in the city than top 5. But it’s a steakhouse, so it’s all good. The creamed spinach and mashed potatoes were perfect, the potatoes au gratin were very good as well, just needed a dash of salt. I ordered the cheesecake to go as well, and it traveled very well and tasted amazing. All in all, a great meal. Oh, and according to my date, the cocktail she ordered was made “efficiently”, so you only need one . Only downside in my opinion were the seating arrangements (where we were sat had a slight draft, and it was 2 degrees outside, also, there isn’t a lot of space inside, so the high traffic areas were very high traffic). If you’re celebrating something big, I’d definitely recommend.

Went for my birthday ordered the signature cut prime rib and was overwhelmingly disappointed. I ordered it medium and it was raw in my opinion. The cut had no searing and was very tough, when I began to cut through it there appeared to be silver skin or tendons throughout the meat, for a signature cut I expected far more. I sent it back and the meat had a grayish tone to it still no sear. As for the rest of my experience the drink selection was lack luster, having a full bar the drink menu had roughly 10 drinks total. For the sides we had the corn and scallop potatoes, which were good but were both cold after my attempt to hack through my signature cut prime rib. The dinner ended with the dessert a chocolate mousse which was delicious. I was extremely let down with my overall experience, definitely wouldn’t recommend.

While looking for a great steakhouse in Baltimore to celebrate a birthday…a friend recommended The Prime Rib – by far the best experience! Everyone was pleasant, attentive and we enjoyed an amazing dinner! Even with the live music you could carry on a conversation and it just added to the perfect evening! Definitely will make it a point to go back!

Wonderful restaurant for lamb chops ( listed as rack of lamb ) I enjoyed my dinner very much. Will dine here again if I return to Baltimore. Shareable side dishes are the perfect size. Not super large like Morton’s Steak House. Service was impeccable. Food was hot, delicious, and plentiful. No complaints only compliments. The apple pie I had for dessert was outstanding.

Nice atmosphere, old style to it, pictures a bit dark. The waiter was amazing. The food could have been a bit better for the steak prices (Prime rib) and the imperial crab a bit watery, but plenty of crab meat. The stuffed shrimp over rice was good. Cocktail could have been better.
