This place used to be so good. I went back today and was sorely disappointed. I’m not going back. They were out of more than four things including potatoes. The good ingredients have really gone away and been replaced with the cheapest stuff they could probably find. The ham tasted like it had turned, the bread was stale and the English muffin was very stale. I had a patty melt and the hamburger was dry and very small. The French fries were the frozen crinkle kind which was the best part of the whole meal. I am very sorry to post this but this place used to have a wait list every weekend and the food was so good, worth waiting for. I don’t know if this was due to Covid or what but I would avoid this place.

Like any place you want to have coffee with cream and sugar with your breakfast, they have their sugar in a sugar pourer. Amazing. But also… The food is amazing. Relaxed atmosphere. Chally was a great server! 10 outta 10. Will come back.

Very nice spot for a tasty breakfast on Main Street and Springfield. Good parking, too! Everything about The Pump makes it a great restaurant !!

Had high hopes for this place, but it wasn’t anything great. We had the raspberry stuffed French toast and the chicken fried steak. It was an enormous amount of food and everything was just okay. Our server was super nice and it’s a cute place, but not worth the amount I paid for breakfast. Sadly, I won’t be returning.

It’s a cool hole in the wall vintage diner decorated with antiques, mainly old plane and gas memorabilia. Apparently the building used to be a gas station so they kept that history alive with the decor. Me and my mom both got the ham and cheese stuffed French toast with an egg on top and it was DELICIOUS!! The french toast was very thick bread and the ham was smoked carved ham, not cold cut meat. Eggs were perfectly cooked. And it came with a side of hollandaise that was so good. Served with a small side of fruit, and it was only $10.50!! I’ll definitely go back when I go back to visit Springfield!

My wife was looking for a good breakfast and when she saw The Pump Cafe was famous for its Raspberry Stuffed French Toast that is where we went. We were quickly seated since there were only a couple empty tables. My wife did get the stuffed French toast and really liked them. I got one of standards, Chicken Fried Steak and eggs and found it very good. I was surprised to only get one slice of toast instead of the more common, two, but it was enough food. The coffee was really good, from a local roaster, and well worth it. Service was good, diner level, which is to be expected. We might be back, especially if my wife thinks about the stuffed French toast.

They don’t try very hard on items that aren’t signature menu items. Mediocre Bs and Gs. Flat, wimpy Monte Cristo.
