Wow!! From Denver and here for a quick weekend trip. We ended up here because the initial place we were going to eat had an hour wait!! So HAPPY we ended up here! We all had the calzones and they were INCREDIBLE! Our server Claudia was friendly and super helpful! We highly recommend the Purple Pig! It’s a must try!

On our way from Omaha Nebraska to Durango. My wife and I overnighted in Alamosa. We tried the purple pig because they allowed our dog on their patio and they had good reviews. I ordered a Stromboli with a salad and an appetizer tray. Most of the appetizers were barely room temperature and the Stromboli was cold. The server and manager were very slow to address the issue or they could’ve seen for themselves that it was a legitimate concern. I told the server, Bethany, who was very nice that our food was cold and that we weren’t going to eat it it took almost 25 minutes to talk to Nicole the manager, but she made everything right and gave me a military discount. The salad was very good for a salad and everything looked amazing, but nothing was up to temperature, I stood waiting in the bar for the manager to come out and talk to me and I waited for some time. At first, she thought we were trying to get some thing for nothing but I told her that we did not eat our food. After we met in person myself and the manager talked and laughed a little and I tried to be as understanding as possible but I felt like I was being called a liar. I don’t want something for nothing. I just want what I pay for. Should we go through Alamosa again, I will give them another chance, but this time I can only give them two stars.

Fantastic place! The service was very good but the food was amazing! We decided to split a pizza and the cheese ravioli and they were both so good.

Being a fan of purple pigs, myself, I had to stop by with my family as we passed through. I had the baked potato pizza myself, and it was quite good. However, I did try some of my family’s other pizzas and can’t say likewise for those. One, a sort of meatlovers which I can’t remember the name of, was just bland while the margarita pizza’s (I could be wrong on the name) mozzarella was really gummy and unpleasant which is a shame as a good margarita pizza is a simple delicacy.

My husband and I each had a house salad and Italian soda, then shared a spicy Hawaiian pizza. Great food, service was good as well. Would definitely return if we’re ever in the area again.

Our food here was…okay. The pizza was actually quite tasty, but our 12″ was only 8″ of toppings (we measured because we were sad), and an 8″ pizza is a lot less pizza than a 12″. Gluten free crust was tasty, though! Without sauce, brick hard.

We had a wonderful meal here. We tried the Buffalo chicken pizza, Grandpa Andy’s Green Chile Pasta and the Lasagna. Everything was delicious and our server was great too. We highly recommend while in Alamosa.

We stopped for a late lunch because my husband was hungry & the people at the bar across the street recommended the restaurant. My calzone was delicious, but my husband’s food was terrible. After a 45 minute wait he finally got his fish & chips, which the menu said was the house specialty! It was burnt and the fish tasted like rubber. Don’t put as a house specialty if you don’t know how to cook it! The waitress was apologetic & said she’d tell the cook, but we won’t be back. $14 and he didn’t even eat it!

Standard pub grub. Wings were good and the beer was cold.

Usually pretty good place here but me and my wife just went for drinks recently. Long story short, Asked the waitress for margaritas which were great but first asked for the price and she said $8. We had 1 each and shared another and when she brought the check, waitress says I’m sorry but I guess they are $12 now. She offers to ask manager about giving us the initial price and she comes back and says, Sorry Manager said no. Pretty disappointed if that’s how they’re starting to do business.
