OMG! Seriously loved The Purple Poulet! Everything about the place is amazing! I mean EVERYTHING! We were invited to celebrate a birthday and were led to a secret hidden private dining room! From there it only got better-Service, top notch; Food-Beyond Delicious….I have NO negatives! Just Try It!

Amazing food, drinks, and service! After our fourth time going, I can say it’s perfectly consistent. The acoustics are great, never loud. The ambience is soothing and the menu offers a lot to choose from. It’s a great place for a date or to take family and friends. Go and enjoy!!!!!

Great dining experience. A friend recommended we check it out and order the fried chicken—it was delicious! The waitresses all treated us like royalty and we didn’t have to wait an exorbitant amount of time for our food even though it was a busy night. We will definitely be back.

I had dinner here this week and ordered chicken. I’m not a fan of deep fried chicken, (guess I was expecting pan fried), so if I come again I will order something else. The sides were good, especially the grits.

Food was really good, a bit salty, but I suppose thats part of Southern cooking. The drinks were expertly crafted by 2 younger bartenders who were very personable. The only “negative” was that the hostess, who said loudly enough for all to hear; “her husband was the chef”. There was an unfriendliness to her and a palpable tension that she created when she got behind the bar to mix drinks, literally pushing the bartenders into a corner. This lady was not terribly welcoming, or friendly, and actually seemed to make the staff uncomfortable. My wife had the PB & J Pork chop which she did not care for & I had the fried chicken which was good, though a tad salty… I’d order it again. Overall a good meal aside from the vibe the hostess sends out… she may not be the best front of house choice for this establishment, as reading through the other reviews, she seems to be the reason they don’t have better ratings… she gave off bully vibes and did not seem to understand or value customer service.. too bad, this could be a warm welcoming establishment that reflects the nature of the cuisine they serve.

A very disappointing experience. For the price, this place falls way short. I ordered the Fried Chicken Dinner and my boyfriend got the Coq au Vin, and both dishes tasted like salt, there was not other flavor or seasoning. They do have a great selection of bourbon. The cocktails were fine, but they used very low quality mixers and garnishes, you’d expect better from a spot on the B-Line. The manager was also openly scolding servers in-front of customers, which I found very off-putting! The only positives would be the great conversation we had with the two bartenders. Would come back for a drink, but nothing more.
