The Railyard is a hidden gem in the heart of town. The rustic ambiance and friendly staff create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The star of the menu, the bison meatloaf, is a must-try. Wanted to like this place, interesting menu, cool location and great aesthetic. We waited up front for a few minutes before we were acknowledged. Waitress was nice. Wife’s bison burger was well over-cooked and her sweet potato fries were stale and cold. My black and blue burger was great, and the asparagus spears were too, but I only got 4 of them. Not too expensive, so I guess we’re getting what we paid for.

Pizza was heavy. Service was average. Overall I’ve experienced this restaurant twice and each time I have had an average experience. Nothing to get to excited. My boyfriend lives in Gillette and is not interested in returning stating each of multiple experiences have lacked in customer service and meal quality. It’s not bad but there are better choices.
