So it’s been years since we’ve been here. We decided to give it another shot. It was a little rough. This time, we could tell they did a little face-lift, and the atmosphere had definitely improved. We had Ribeye and Halibut. It was good, not great but good. I also had the clam chowder, which was very good. The atmosphere is definitely a bit dated feeling, and you have to pay for valet parking, which doesn’t make any sense. It’s easy to just park myself. I get it in Hollywood where there’s no parking. It just didn’t make sense here. The service was wonderful. They are very attentive to our needs without overdoing it. I did appreciate that. So, overall, it was a good meal.

Shomori Pass
It’s a great dinner experience where I ended up here on two separate evenings. The first I had their beef stroganoff and the second I marvelously enjoyed their prime rib au jus. Especially here, I wish I would have taken some food photos but had family I hadn’t seen in a long time so it was mostly Peronis and laughs. Incredible food and vibe experience both evenings.

This place was recently updated a bit and offers more comfortable seating and a cleaner, cozier atmosphere than it had during previous vists. The service was attentive, and food came out hot and didn’t take too long. Nice bar selection. Food was ok, but not great. DH Steak was a little overcooked for his preference. Also he wasn’t a fan of the buttery sauce it had on it. Good baked potato. I had halibut, and it lacked a little flavor, but the vegetables were tasty. Small parking lot but adequate; however, be prepared as it is Valet only.

This is a nice small restaurant of the 5 freeway. All the staff was very polite and attentive to our requests. They kept checking on us to ensure we were satisfied with the food and drinks I had the clam chowder soup and California chicken salad, and they were delicious. Vallet parking only for $5.00. You should visit this place. You will like it.
