About 2 years ago this place was awesome.. I don’t know what the heck is going on now… They changed their hours to now open up at 11 but When you call no one answers. . like today it’s 11:15 and no 1 is picking up the phone ..There used to be a time I could order my food at 10:30 and on my lunch break at 11am my food is ready to go .. I’m not sure if it’s under new management But it is absolutely ridiculous… I always want to support because they the older lady who is always there is soooooo nice but UGH Let’s get it together Real Mccoy

Today, was my third visit frequenting this establishment. The restaurant is very clean and during my previous visits, the owners were polite and welcoming. I’m sadden to say that the young lady who took my order was curt, and appeared offended because I asked to have my steak cooked well-done, dry and politely requested the edges of my macaroni and cheese. At the time I placed my order, there was one other customer picking up an order. Customer service is everything! Today that was not my experience 🙁

I keep giving them a chance hoping they get better and they just get worse. Salty greens taste like over salted chopped frozen greens. The yams tasted like they came out of a can. Macaroni was mediocre. Their food used to be decent when they first opened.

Soul Food is cooked with meats to season the water then the food that goes into the pot. such as your greens or beans, Therefore, less salt is needed. Your bake beans should consist of onions, and some form of mustard to give them a kick – not just out of the can your Bush bake beans is a good choice, but add your ingredientss to kick it up a notch. Make sure contiments is in bag before order pick up. Soul Food cooking is greatly needed in this area, therefore, make it True soul food YOUR – all in the way you prep it. Best bbq chicken and ribs I’ve ever tried! My son requested we use The Real Mc Coy for his graduation party and I’m so glad we did. Everyone at the party was licking their fingers and raving about the food. My son first had their bbq when they generously hosted several of his high school football team dinners. Very friendly, very delicious and very community oriented.
