This was our first visit after hearing about Milk and Honey for a few years now. I took my mom to brunch at the Camp Springs location. The artwork and decor was beautiful and we appreciated the quick service and how everyone greeted us. The food was absolutely delicious! It came out quickly and was piping hot. We ordered the Big Fish with Cheesy Grits. The fish was perfectly seasoned and fried, crispy on the outside and tender and flaky on the inside. The dish came with a fried green tomato (my favorite), grits that were creamy and flavorful, and a honey butter biscuit that was very moist and delicious. The food and decor gets 5-stars. However, because it was so hot in there, it was impossible to ignore. After climbing a flight of stairs on a 90 degree day with my elderly mother, we were looking forward to cool air. Hence, the 4-star overall review. Other than that, this was a nice place. We will go back again one day.

I went here for a salad and unfortunately it is not an option. However, the atmosphere, vibes, and music were on point. The artwork is amazing. The owner and hostess who was working for the day were very helpful and friendly. I can’t wait to try the food next time I am in town. PS. New Brunswick, NJ would welcome you with open arms.

#1 MUST GO TO SPOT IN DC!!! Amazing place. I love this hidden gem we took a chance on. The food is Ratatouille (food critic), and childhood flashback mouth watering good. I had there French toast with cream cheese and fruit, my teenager had fried salmon with hashbrowns with cheese and my 6 yr old had classic wings. Everything was delicious.

Went early one morning with my partner and our daughter. Everything we ordered was bomb. I got the smothered chicken because of our server’s recommendation. I was NOT disappointed. I will definitely be back. The only thing I’d recommend is to ask for certain things, for example pancakes aren’t on the menu but I saw google reviews with pictures of them. I asked for one for my daughter, it didn’t come with the powdered sugar and stuff I saw online but was still happy. It was HUGE. We left stuffed. I’d love to bring family here when they’re visiting.

The only reason this place gets the three stars is because their food is good and the hostess was nice enough to also be a server. The service was horrible. I came here on a Sunday late morning and we had to wait for an hour. After waiting we were sat and after 15 minutes of waiting at our table we decided to scan the QR code and order online. Our food got to our table and a server still hadn’t come over. We had to ask the food runner for silverware and the hostess for waters. Whoever was the server for table 205 today did not do their job today. Very disappointed for the amount of money we pay for the food that the service doesn’t match that energy.

I first dined here a few months ago and it was PHENOMENAL! Our 4 person party loved the food and drinks; we loved it so much that we came back and brought another co-worker this time. Unfortunately the entire experience was subpar at best. It started when we walked in at 1:02 pm with a a 1:00 reservation. They were at less than 25% capacity and we still didn’t get seated until 1:15. Fast forward to ordering drinks… I asked if the Red Cup ‘Rita was sweet (I should have known better) and the server hit me with a confident “not at all”. That reply steered the decision for our party to order 2 of those and other various drinks. When the drinks arrived, they were nearly too sweet to consume and didn’t even have the advertised Tajinrim. We continued on to order the jerk lamb lollipops which were fantastic the last trip, but they weren’t available, so we ordered the grit cakes… again, they were unavailable. Such a shame.:( Nonetheless, we continued to be polite and pick through the menu until we found food that that was available. Three of us ordered crab, chicken and french toast entrees which were as advertised, the other two ordered $24 worth of bacon, egg & cheese croissants as the menu made the flaky buttery gems sound lovely. The food arrives and the breakfast sammies were on bagels.

Today was my first time at The Real Milk and Honey. I went with two good friends and I had high expectations. I ordered the fried lobster breakfast sandwich, and tater tots. One friend ordered crab hash, and the other ordered waffles, eggs and sausage. We enjoyed our meals from start to finish. They were delicious. I ordered jerk chicken wings to go (for my fiancé) as well. My fiancé heated up the wings to eat just now and was extremely disappointed. Here’s why. First off, as the daughter of a Jamaican woman, I not only know how it should be cooked, but I cook fantastic jerk myself. The wings were sitting in over 2 cups of water, they had zero seasoning, and they were swimming in what looked like highly unseasoned chicken broth. I was shocked because I completely enjoyed my meal and was certain that the jerk wings would be just as tasty, but I was absolutely mistaken. Milk and Honey, if you want to really sell delicious jerk chicken wings, I can show you how it’s done. Anyway, I had a fabulous experience dining there, and would definitely return, we just won’t order the jerk chicken! (I included a pic, by the way.)
