Hey Pie Man, I’ve been living in Dallas for some time now but I had to come show love because you used to come to my hair salon all the way in the East every Saturday at 11am sharp selling us your pies and gumbo and red beans, it was absolutely delicious and some of my best memories! We had the catfish with stewed okra, yakamein, and peach cobbler. The catfish was hot and fresh. The stewed okra was super! Never had better! Also love the peach cobbler. It had a great pie crust.

Since Hurricane Katrina I’ve been in Atlanta but every time I go back home to New Orleans I have to stop to get some gumbo from the Real Pie Man. There is no other that compares. Everything else they serve is good too especially the pasta.

I had sweet potatoes pie, muffin, and iced pound cake. Flavorful, smooth, moist, great texture, and reasonable is all I have to say. Friendly place that seems to have frequent returning customers. Next time I’m in the area, I will try the food after seeing the reviews.
