10/10! I am always skeptical of a hotel bar, but it was so awesome. You can access the bar from the courtyard or the lobby, it was super cute and had a fun vibe. The bartender was amazing, and the drinks were excellent. My husband went back the next day and ate dinner there, and said it was good as well. If I find myself in Tucson again, I will be back!

This last visit to The Red Light Lounge at the Downtown Clifton Hotel confirms it: the Night Cap is now my most favorite hand-crafted cocktail! Although the Southern Moon was delightful, differently. As was the Sunset Cooler. Then the bartender promised Tucson’s BEST burger. And she wasn’t wrong!

Very cool diamond in the rough in south Tucson. It’s the bar/lounge of a motel but with a cool eclectic vibe. We went on a Friday and several local artisans and craftsmen had small tables selling their art/crafts. The cocktails were good as was the beer selections. White wine options were great but they were out of a few reds today. The elote corn “ribs” were a delight and the loaded fries great. Will def come back!

There was a time when the idea of fish tacos was “eh” at best then having had Chef Nico’s fish tacos at the Red Light Lounge everything changed. The tacos were perfectly crisp, seasoned to perfection and dreamy. Have had numerous fish tacos since that encounter with Chef Nico’s fish tacos and not one has come even close to what he has created. His entire menu is fresh, innovative takes on classics such as buffalo wings with cotija and a cilantro lime aioli. A decadent and delicious Indian Fry Bread and even salads packed with Southwest flavor. The only regret is having not made it back in yet to try the newly launched breakfast menu. Grab a spicy margarita and some fish tacos next time you’re around and thank us later.

I have lots of food intolerance and the bartender was so gracious and helpful, taking two trips to query the chef as to ingredients. As a result I had a great and safe fir me dinner (the quesadilla). An absolutely charming establishment.

This may have been one of the best Sonoran-inspired brunches I’ve ever had! We ate here after staying overnight in The Downtown Clifton, its funky hotel home, but would gladly visit again just for the food. Stone-ground masa biscuits with homemade prickly pear hibiscus jam and orange marmalade were huge and fluffy, with incredible depth of flavor from the masa. For our main dishes we had chilaquiles – an amazing dish of chips softened and layered in red chile sauce and topped with pork, crema, avocado, pico de gallo and cotija cheese – and the sumptuous verde eggs benedict, with more green chile pork, corn salsa, and pickled peppers. Perfect balance of flavors, textures, and freshness all around!

LOVE LOVE LOVE the vibe here. We got food to go but had a cocktail while we waited. Super low key, super understated elegance, really inviting feeling. Can’t wait for it to fully open back up so we can make it a regular date night spot. The food was also great, we split the cottage fries and the burger and they were both delicious. Can’t wait to return.

Just happened to come across this place while checking out the “Ugly but Honest” sign at the 5-points and we are so happy we did!

Tucson has a hidden gem. With the help of Sonoran Restaurant Week, we were introduced to this place. We ordered the tamarind margarita, which turned out to be one the tastiest I’ve had. We had the Aguachile Amarillo for the first course, which had a nicely complemented blend of flavors. Steak and Guajillo Masa Sope was the main entrée, and the meat was tender and nicely prepared. Mesquite Bean Ice Cream was the dessert; it was a non-dairy ice cream that was creamier than a dairy ice cream, even better. We’ll definitely return. Service was great and so was the atmosphere.
