It’s hard to find some good rotisserie chicken however this joint hit the spot! Renovated the old Esso station, retained some of the charm and converted this into a pretty cool little spot. Upon entry, the directions were a little unclear with regards to which way to go however you can figure out dine in fairly quickly. The menu is pretty comprehensive and the food was really good. Rotisserie chicken was tender and juicy, broccoli was fresh, the cornbread was tasty. My only hang up was the Mac and Cheese which was just average. The only other drawback was the service: staff appear to either be stretched or under managed. A lot of side gossip, drinks unrefreshed, and quite a few folks just waiting around. However I’m confident a good general manager can help to turn the service around.

Recently, while visiting Rock Hill, my boyfriend and I decided to try The Roasting Company. I got “chicken and rice con queso” with a side of Mac and cheese and fries. The chicken and rice was very bland and the chicken was extremely dry. The max and cheese was inedible with how awful it was. The Mac and cheese was dry and flavorless. Fries were served cold. Overall my food was almost inedible as a whole. My boyfriend got the chicken and dumplings with a side of cinnamon apples. He said the chicken and dumplings were good, but could notice the dry chicken. He absolutely loveddd the cinnamon apples. For our cornbread, both of us could not finish it. It was so so dry.

Very clean place, the staff was very friendly the food was outstanding. This is a great place with a very appealing menu and big portion sizes. I did not leave still hungry, I felt the cost to portion ratio was very well priced and a place I would go.back and try something else on the menu. Highly recommend.

This was our first and last time visiting this restaurant. My partner and I arrived around 2 or 3pm one weekday afternoon for a late lunch/early dinner and we were very disappointed. I hardly EVER write reviews for poor experiences but it was really bad and hopefully no one else will have the same experience. First, the sign up front asked for guests to seat themselves, which we did, on the patio. After seating, it was going on 15 minutes before anyone even came to our table to greet us. I ordered a sweet tea and my partner ordered a Diet Pepsi/Coke – so not even anything from the bar that would have had to be specially made. Another 10 minutes before our drinks arrived. No exaggeration. At the time, there was literally ONE other table outside on the patio and very few patrons inside so I have no clue why the drinks took so long. It was another eternity before our server took our order. Alex ordered a chicken burrito and I ordered a half-order of nachos with pulled pork. The food was terrible. Alex’s burrito was so dry he couldn’t even finish it. Hardly any chicken in it and the rest was just dry seasoned rice. Hardly any sauces or cheese that would have moistened the food. My nachos were about the same. There was almost no cheese or sauce on it. Basically just dry nachos with a little pulled pork. To make the bone-dry food even worse is that our drink refills took another insanely long time to come out to us – even though the table right next to us was checked on multiple times. The folks at that table were apparently regulars because the server knew their names already. As a matter of fact, our server only came out one more time after delivering the food and that was to see if we were ready for our check. I didn’t even GET a refill; by the time she came out to hand us the bill I was so frustrated I didn’t even ask for anything else to drink. I just wanted to get out of there. We’re new to Rock Hill and have been experimenting with local restaurants and this establishment will definitely be one that we will NOT be revisiting. Just a bad experience all around.

Possibly undercooked chicken, watery mashed sweet potatoes, good corn bread and a nice Margarita (only $6.20 which is great, but $1 extra for Mango you couldn’t taste)

I absolutely love The Roasting Company, however, I have only been able to enjoy the food when I door dash. Unfortunately, the past three times I have attempted to dine in, I was ignored and walked out. No one even acknowledged me. I am a former service industry employee..it hurt to share this review.

The food was THE WORST I’ve ever eaten. Let me be precise: I couldn’t even eat this food and had to give it to my dog that is how bad it was. The chicken was bland and over cooked. The stringbeans were bland, overcooked and mushy, and the collards were also over cooked. AND I paid $33 dollars for it which was overpriced. I can’t believe this place is still in business. I want my money back.

Interesting local chicken restaurant, the roasted chicken is flavorful and juicy, definitely recommend giving it a try if you’re into light or dark meat they’re both delicious. Service staff were friendly and quick, no complaints! Give them a stop by if you’re in the area.

Thursday is chicken & dumplings. So good! I’d avoid their wraps, they just don’t work well. Chicken & rice dish is good, especially with queso. I also really enjoy the nachos! It always seems like they’re a little short staffed, but the servers are always nice. It could use some acoustics to help with the noise, it gets too loud inside.

Came here a couple weeks ago, food was delicious! The nacho appetizer was the best, especially we had the brisket mixed into the nachos.
