I had the crab cakes and corn chowder! I will tell you what my sister’s ex is from Louisiana and his corn chowder was bomb. The Quarter nailed the black peppery taste. It was on point. The crab cakes were heavenly. The blend of flavors worked well. The food was fantastic and Nikki our server was attentive and a very pleasant person. Overall I had a pleasant experience and can’t wait to try the jambalaya next time.

We came here at 7PM on a Friday night. It wasn’t crowded and although we made reservations, we didn’t need them. We sat right away and Eric the bartender came over right away to take our drink order. I usually get a beer, but when he told us about how he mixes the ingredients in the kitchen, I couldn’t pass up a homemade hurricane. We ordered the Stuffed Hot Peppers and the Louisiana Shrimp Cakes for appetizers. Delicious! for dinner, we ordered the Shrimp Etouffee (x2), and the quarter pounder burgers (x2). We joked that we should have ordered another etouffee to split. Everything was delicious.we were loving the food so much that we also ordered an Orange Creme Brulee, and the Bignets.

Service was super fast and the food was quite delicious. Live jazz music and a few subtle design touches make for a very cool environment. And the prices were extremely reasonable given the high quality of what we received. Will be coming back for another Shrimp po boy!

Very nice restaurant – expect high prices. Not sure what happened tonight but we waited just under an hour and a half for our food. I don’t mind waiting but let us know there’s going to be a significant delay. Drinks are good, ambiance is great. Would come back and give the place a second chance.

Food was fantastic! Menu choices are a bit limited, service was average and parking wasn’t great…but, f you would like to try some of the best stuffed banana peppers in town, this is the place!

We ended up at The Quarter thanks to a Facebook post that piqued our interest. It was a rainy Tuesday night and The Quarter, tucked on tightly packed Virginia place looked like just the kinda place rainy nights were made for. Walking in we were met by a cool old piano with an archaic looking stone head propped up against it near the floor. A quick walk through heavy, dark drapes opened up into a bar and restaurant full of beautiful dark woodwork and a friendly bartender named Danny. Their specialty cocktail menu had everything from Hurricanes to Pims Cups and Danny made me a delicious spiced pear drink with dark rum, a hint of vodka and a cinnamon stick. It was delicious. Then came the food. We had fresh diver scallops on a bed of sprouts with raspberry and grape tomatoes. I had cajun blackened catfish with mashed sweet potatoes and coleslaw, my date had cajun mac and cheese full of so much deliciously spicy sausage. For dessert a spear of beignets on top of a plate covered in drizzled chocolate and clouds of whip cream on top of a bowl of ice cream covered in more whipped cream. Heaven on a plate! Bonus was they had a date nite special that included the appetizer, dinners for 2 and dessert for $69.99. For the meal and ambiance provided, and the friendly and accommodating service of Danny that was a steak. It was wonderful and unexpected to get a taste of the French Quarter in Buffalo, New York.
