Great little place for local dishes. We have tried their brunch and lunch options. Burgers use extra thick home made patties, nice buns and I particularly like the beef and blue. For brunch the mimosa flight is a great way to sample some unique flavors and find your favorite. There’s so many options there’s something for every palate. I like to sample the biscuits and gravy everywhere I go, and this was one of the best downtown. The griddle sandwich was unique and tasty. Definitely worth checking out.

I had intended to visit The Roots Restaurant for some time, and I’m glad I finally visited. It may just be me, but it’s location doesn’t put it at the front and center as folks drive through downtown Melbourne. All restaurants on Melbourne Court seem to fall into that category, and there have been some decent options in that area over the years.

Went to breakfast with my family. Dining area is small but enough tables. The food was good I like the options they had. The food wasn’t amazing but it was cooked well and had good taste. Had the mimosas, which come in several flavors. They are amazing! So yummy! And our server, Gabby was so good at taking our orders. She was quick and concise and a very sweet girl! I hope they keep her, she’s very good at her job. I was overall satisfied, which is why I’m giving it 5 stars.

The food was good, however the service left a lot to be desired. We had a drink server who took our drinks and said, “I’ll be back with those soon” then we saw her chatting to other workers behind the counter while we sat without drinks. When she brought our drinks back, 5 min later, she said our food server would be over soon (weird to have two servers for such a small place – we were ready to order by that point but had to wait for the food server).

You’re gonna see the standard bacon, eggs, toast etc, but don’t be fooled. The Roots takes the basics and makes it better than anywhere else. The scrambler was hot, with the cheese perfectly melted around the potatoes, bacon, eggs, and veggies. The service was flawless. The server, Jessica, perfectly timed our to-go orders. Highly recommend.
