Pleasant experience! The staff is super friendly and the vibes in this little restaurant are top notch! The garlic knots were really tasty and my BBQ chicken sandwich was delicious. Only gripe was the wait time, I waited about half an hour for my sandwich (and I was sitting alone). However, long wait times don’t seem to be a theme so I think this was an isolated issue. Will be back!

It was between 6-7p dinner time and hardly anyone was there. What’s that tell you? Pizza crust is decent but they barely put ingredients on it. Ordered sausage and mushroom. Maybe 2 pieces of each on each slice. The onion rings were obviously frozen pucks before they fried. The breading made them a pound each. Blah! Awful. Tasted like sawdust coating. Place has no identity, tables were sticky. Beer selection was decent. Service was ok. Not sure I’d go back. Been twice and didn’t seem a lot of people were there each time. Now I know why…indoor and outdoor seating. Maybe they need entertainment or karaoke or something.

During an 8 month stay in Charlotte, I frequently found myself with a few hours to kill in the evening and the Rusty Onion was a great place to do that. The bar area was often filled with regulars who clearly have known each other for years yet were always welcoming to a new visitor. It very much had a “Cheers” kind of vibe (although – for the life of me – I can’t quite remember anyone’s name! LOL). Great food (my favorite was the Popeye Salad) and nice environment. Whenever I am back in Charlotte I will certainly go back to Rusty Onion for a visit.).

Nice little spot to eat, we went during lunch time and service was quick and staff were friendly and answered any questions we had. They got us drinks and appetizers quickly and brought out the food as soon as it was ready. The pizza options are good, the 10” is more than enough for a single person. We had a few of the sandwiches too and the Italian was tasty. The mac&cheese was cheesy and delicious, great spot to stop in and check out!

Delicious pizzas!!! They catered our team lunch this past week. Friendly owner who was extremely helpful as well. You can tell he just loves life. The pizzas also had the perfect thickness of crust. All the toppings we got were so yummy and everyone enjoyed them. We are going to keep him on our list for future meetings as well.

Fantastic restaurant with exceptional food and delightful service! The atmosphere is laid back and creates a great place to relax with friends for a drink (or two) and some delicious food. I highly recommend this spot and will definitely be stopping by every time I’m in Charlotte.

My husband, his grandparents and I ate here tonight I couldn’t have enough good things to say. We ate here WITH my service dog which I was weary about due to the bad review regarding a SD below. They treated us with nothing but kindness. They did not discriminate at all for my service dog nor did they force us to sit outside. We chose to as the weather was lovely but they did not force it. On top of their excellent customer service, the food was outstanding! We got the gyro, wings and manicotti. All very good!! Would come back any time in the area.

Pizza’s are incredibly tasty. Crust not too thick, not too thin and has nice light brown bottom. Cherokee (server) is a gem; friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. Music selection was perfect and not loud (so conversations could be held without straining). Don’t change a thing!
