First time going to the Salty Boar, I looked at a menu online, went for the Chopped Brisket Sandwich, which was no longer available. I decided on the ½ Pound Fried Chicken Basket (southern) comes with Duke’s mayo, lettuce and dill pickle chow. The chicken was crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. The dill pickle chow was delicious. The fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned. My husband had the smoked chicken wings with the dry rub of course I had to try one of them. We both agree, these were one of the best wings we have tasted. The smokey flavor, crispy on the outside, moist and tender on the inside.

Good place to eat. Somewhat limited menu. It’s usually a pulled pork basket and pretzel bites for me.

Both the chopped brisket and the pulled pork sandwiches were excellent. Fast and attentive service and very good prices on the full menu. Can’t wait to go back

The fried gouda macaroni and cheese balls are great as well as another appetizer but the actual dinner wasn’t impressive at all (smoked bologna on brioche with bacon jam). Sounded great, but simply wasn’t. Only one waitress who was also bartender and she was so busy I felt bad for her trying to keep up with everyone. Needed refills on our drinks badly but hated to ask because she was just overwhelmed with things to do. Maybe if there had been more staff, the service would have warranted more stars but she did her best for sure. The atmosphere wasn’t bad as far as size and the amount of space for dining but it was very cold. I wish I could give this place a better review. If I ever go back, I’ll just stick with the appetizers I know I love and wear a jacket if it’s cold weather. Sorry, I forgot to take pictures.

I had an excellent chopped Brisket sandwhich. A somewhat limited lunch menu, but what they had was good

Really nice menu. Tasty food. Loved the chicken and waffles. Just an old corner bar, which I grew up on, with a Foosball table. Reasonable prices. What more do you want?

This was our first visit to this place and it was for the oyster feast, festival?? Fortunately, we arrived early and didn’t have to wait for our food and drinks like other people did. The food was alright except the oysters Rockefeller. The oysters Rockefeller were not made right. They had an ok taste, but at 36 dollars a dozen, they better be made correctly. This was a let down. The beer selection was somewhat subpar as well. I think the over issue of the evening was the establishment was way under staffed and the staff that was there needed more training. I hope the owner reads this and uses it constructive criticism to improve the bar.

It was a shame that we waited almost 2 hours for our food and the oysters came out cold. However the flavor was good. He could have used more staff but understand how restrictive that is at the current time.
