I am new to the area and saw a post by the City of Ennis to try this spot. I ordered a bowl with chicken and it was flavor town galore! I know it’s good when I don’t even need the salsa. I will definitely return and try something else on the menu soon. It was a little pricey for the portion size though.

I love this place so much! They take great pride in their locally sourced and fresh meat and produce and I have to say, IT SHOWS. The food is delicious, you can order it any way you like, I am always stuffed by the amount I get, it’s so flavorful, and the owners are so kind. I wish people would stop comparing this place to Chipotle, because truly it’s so much better than that. Please help support one of the only healthy food options in Ennis!!

This was our first time. Very good food… I preferred the bowl. The lettuce was fresh, good meat that was not overdone. Salsas were tasty. Small venue, but fast for take out.

Not worth it for the price. The bowls come premade, isn’t made in front of you, and don’t expect to be blown away by customer service. I figured for a knockoff chipotle they would give you around the same amount but they skimped hard on the meat/rice/guac. The guacamole is $2 (same as chipotle) but the serving size is way less. I don’t mind paying more for guacamole or locally sourced food but it was disappointing to pay extra and have a small amount of food. As far as guac goes the taste was pretty good. This is a pic of the bowl I took before taking a bite. The bowl isn’t even filled to/above the bowl line and half of the bowl was solely beans. I love beans but these beans tasted funky (almost sour?) and since beans were used as a base (versus using rice as a base like chipotle) I didn’t finish eating it. I barely got any meat and paid $9.50 for a steak bowl. $2 extra for guacamole on top to get this.. The chips were good. I asked for a cup of water when I ordered and got a small cup of room temperature water with no ice. My boyfriend got two tacos and a Mexican coke and he said the tacos were pretty good. I like the logo of the store and the atmosphere. The owners were nice enough but customer service is lacking because they aren’t proactive. They didn’t give us any napkins or salsa when bringing us our food and I got no ice with my drink. If they bring the food to you when you dine in I kind of expect them to do those things instead of having to go up to the counter to ask for it. I get they’re a new restaurant but they only had two people working (it was the owners) during rush hour which is probably why. The owners should hire at least one person to take food out and check on customers/clean?? Customer Service is usually what makes small businesses worth it but they have a ways to go. Even when it slowed down, the owners didn’t go around and ask how the food was or if we needed refills or anything. I realize I compared them to Chipotle a lot in this review when they’re their own thing but it’s so obvious that’s what they were going for. PLEASE use rice on the bottom of the bowls or at least put more to fill the bowl up. Rice is the cheapest commodity in the world there isn’t really a reason to skimp on it. I’m not sure what’s being added in the beans but regular refried beans would be better than whatever is being used now. I’ll try this place again in 6 months or so and update my review then. Hopefully customer service is better then.

Had this place for the first time today. One of the best burritos I’ve ever had! The fire sauce is wonderful, but one of the hottest I’ve had. Wonderful, fresh Ingredients- they do prefer cash but will accept a card. I’ll be coming here from now on. Great spot in Ennis!

Really great food and extremely nice people.. please support local businesses and real people. I tried all the meats and each one is delicious, we are keto so we got a bowl with all 3 meats which is what i would recommend. It reminds me of the bowl at taco bell except much better tasting and better for your health. I will definitely be back as soon as possible.
