My daughter brought me here for Mother’s Day! Surprisingly, it was not crowded, which was great! The food, the service, and the live music were all great! I tried the Red Snapper meal, which was good, but a bit overpriced. I felt like it should’ve came with 2 sides instead of 1. My daughter had the Lemon Garlic Shrimp dinner, which was good, too! Also, 1 recommendation I would make is for the staff to clean the ceilings, especially where customers are sitting, more often. There were 3 spiderwebs over and near our table. I did show our waitress and she said she’d let the manager know. Other than that, it was a nice time!

The atmosphere and service was awesome! The Salty Snapper combines price-sensitive dining, fresh seafood, a casual atmosphere and live music all in a single large venue. Nautical elements reinforce the seaside theme. They offer live music on their patio every Thursday through Sunday! See Their Facebook Page for the artist line-up each month! Every Monday they have TRIVIA on the Patio @ 7:00 p.m. Every Wednesday they have KARAOKE on the Patio @ 6:30 p.m.

Saturday visit provided live adequate acoustic bluesy duo. Linguini with mussels and fish taco were great. Beer was $8 but that was the price for Yankees. Eclectic crowd. One guy at bar held a pet snake. Another hetero couple polished off a bucket of beers while his “date” strategically rubbed his thigh. Non-binary couple at bar had locked legs. Amazingly when both couples left another took their seats and the festivities began yet again – and it was only 4 pm! Don’t miss out. Arrive early & hungry.

My wife and I went out for a date night and decided to try The Salty Snapper. We started with the crab cakes and tuna carpaccio. Both were delicious, the crab cakes were not fried like we had expected but were truly crab cakes and not a little bit of lump crab with a lot of fillers. The tuna carpaccio was sliced perfectly and the aioli complemented it wonderfully. My wife had the fish and chips with an added order of shrimp and I had the namesake Salty Snapper. She said the fish was very good and the cheese grits were the perfect side, the shrimp were amazing. The snapper came out fried just right, flavored very well, and the vegetable of the day (sauted kale and tomatoes) ,was fresh and a great paring. The service was phenomenal. Hayden may be one of the best servers we’ve encountered in Valdosta. She was quick to get our drinks and keep them filled, explained the daily specials and answered any questions about the menu, and gave some great recommendations. I know we’ll be back for dinner again and we will definitely ask to be seated at one of her tables.

I order a simple meal but it was good. Waitress was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was fairly nice, they do have a live performance (outside). This was close to my hotel drury (-3min) so after a long day of travel a nice hole in the wall restaurant.

Stopped here while passing thru Valdasta and enjoyed a wonderful dinner. Luckily arrived at 5pm when in opened and seating was prompt. Good thing because the place filled up quickly. A vibrant place with a great outdoor bar and dining area. Music and atmosphere was good and the staff was attentive and friendly although kitchen was a little mixed up and slow. I had the raw oysters with a wedge and my wife enjoyed the salmon with a side salad. The bread bowl was saltine crackers, a fun twist. Enjoyed the outdoor seating and big screen TVs. Would definitely recommend and will visit again next time we are in the area.

I loved the atmosphere outside !! Great customer service . We ordered the double dip wings and crunchy shrimp for appetizer and it was delicious. For our entree my sister order the melt which she said was really good. Me and my mom ordered shrimp and grits and breakfast burrito which wasn’t very tasteful. Potatoes in burrito weren’t done and grits had a weird taste to them. No worries our waitress replaced the order for the shrimp and grits, she was sweet. We loved the bottomless mimosas !!

What a fun night I had here last week!!! The bartender outside was phenomenal!!! He made my whole night! A young African American guy…. had us dying laughing and the drinks pouring. They had live music outside so that was really entertaining. I started with the clam chowder which was creamy and tasty. I had the garlic shrimp as the main meal and it was very good. Now what was super delicious and shocked me was the street corn. I’m so glad he got me to order it. It was creamy butter sweet and delicious with a kick. You must have the corn!!!! I wish I had a piece right now. Parking is ample well lit and free. Lots of menu options to choose from. Service was excellent and bathroom clean. I would definitely return!
